Yes!!! After 33 years wearing mechanical wristwatches I found my grail, all is perfect for me and I never will apart from that piece of horology. My SD43

The first picture is my grail, the second one is a picture taken 20 years ago or more, wearing a GMT TT, that watch was pretty close to be perfect but the SD is my watch.

1) Similar to the 5 digits proportions but with all modern features.
2) Glidelock is a must have for me.
3) The anniversary model with the touch of red made it special to me.
4) The glossy/matte dial is beautiful
5) The 43mm case and 22mm bracelet, is perfect.
6) I like big strong sport watches.
7) 3235 movement.

Any pics of said watch?

I have not found a watch that has made me think about selling all my others and I am not sure I will. I like the option of having a choice. That said my latest acquisition is pretty damn close. It truly is an awesome watch that ticks all the boxes for me. White Gold, slightly larger size and very legible. New movement with great reserve. Extremely comfortable given the oysterflex and glide lock. And it looks great either on the beach or in the boardroom. That said I am sure I am still in the 'honeymoon' phase and I feel very similar about my Smurf!

It's perfect for me at the moment, but I'm sure after 6 months I'll get the itch for something different.

I agree with this, not perfect for me personally as its too big for my wrists, but still nothing should be changed on that watch imo

Most of course will list their watch or their favourite watch, the way it should be and I'm no different but the 16570 does have the following attributes:

40mm
Date
GMT
Light
Legible
Comfortable
Not too tall
Not too expensive
All occasions
Tough
Reliable
....and it's a Rolex, so to me its pretty near perfect

It’s hard to define the perfect watch.
If I can have only one that will be Sky Dweller

Plenty, but due to the size restrictions here it’s really difficult for me to upload anything, don’t have a downsizing app on my phone. Please feel free to visit my instagram under @realnavitimer to see a close up of the amazing movement finish, a full beauty shot of the watch and a shot of how the dial responds to direct sunlight. Sorry for the inconvenience, as soon as I can figure out how to upload pictures here in proper sizes, I will. Didn’t mean to advertise my instagram profile. Just a work around for the time being.

Best

When people have asked what I mean by perfect. I don’t mean a perfect one watch, I mean a watch which in your opinion is flawless.

So for sake of arguments. My BLNR imo is almost perfect, but the maxi case for me is to big and bulky, and therefore not flawless.
Tudor black bays are also for me too thick.

When I break it down and try and find flaws. I can’t really find a watch I can’t think of any way of improving it.

I would have to say, the perfect watch for me is either the 5712 or 5711. Ignoring the hype and Instagram craze this watch has, the beauty of the piece in person along with the fitment is amazing.

I was lucky enough to try on a fellow TRFer's 5712 for a solid 30 minutes, it's love at first sight and it just worked so well on my own wrist. Super comfy, perfect thickness, size was not large and the aesthetics far exceeded my expectation.

I'm not a one watch kind of guy, but I'll gladly settle for one watch if it was this one.

... maybe one day...

My choice would be the 42mm Polar. I wouldn't go as far as to say perfect, but for comfort, size on me, operational ease and style it's right up there for me. It's the best watch I've ever owned. There are three others in my collection which come close but don't quite draw level with the Polar (most days). And yes, they are all made by the same company.

If I'm really honest with myself, probably a 5 digit sub. Boring answer.

I don’t have an Instagram, so I couldn’t follow you or give you likes or anything, but man, you have some really nice photos in there

The watch is stunning by the way. And the gold rotor is something else
