Submariner Fake?

Hi, long story short, I was on my AD's waiting list for a new Submariner, but they are no longer selling Rolex after July 1.

So...I'm considering playing with fire and buying used. Here's one I found, the price seems too good to be true, no card, and weird papers/holder? But he claims he's willing to meet at a dealer to have it authenticated?

Please be gentle on me, I'm still learning. At least you'll maybe get a laugh and I only wasted 30 seconds of your time. Thanks!

No ceramic Sub will ever have the old style paper warranty, they all have cards.

I don't know anything, except that's a fake.

I think it might actually be kind of fun to meet him at an AD and have the AD pop the back off of it and get a look at the movement.

It would be interesting to see his reaction.

And, it would be interesting to see the inside.

What do you have to lose other than 30 to 60 minutes of your time.

If he was closer I’d do that. Undoubtedly he’d try to convince me to buy it without having it looked at.

Thanks, everyone for the confirmation.

Life is too short to even waste that much time on JUNK.

For me, it'd be fun. But, I'm that guy who tortures fake IRS scammers for fun too.

I'm sure he wouldn't show up at the AD.

As everyone's stated, that's a bad fake. I do wonder what would happen if you actually decided to meet him at AD to have it authenticated?

You Know, there several of these Right Here In the TRF Classifieds. Have a look in the "Who's Who" Sub Forum to check for evidence of "Trusted Seller" status and take it from there.

Good Luck.

Thank you. I understand these are trusted sellers, but most, if not all are not AD's?

I don't know. You would have to ask each one individually.

AD's do not sell on the Internet, at least, not for very long.
