I LOVE this Vacheron

I really want this piece, just beautiful. The small size doesn't bother me at all. Anyone know about this reference?

Same here, I've always lusted after a Mercator.

Not that specific variant (although that one is gorgeous), but I've had my eye on the Vacheron Mercator lineup for a while.

Forgot to mention, probably my favorite Mercator are the Enamel dial Americas version, I am a sucker for a colorful enamel dial.

Ref 43050, its from the 90's. I believe it is powered by JLC legendary 920 movement.

Well, I guess that is exactly what they are meant to look like.

Very nice piece. If you want more info, check out the Hour Lounge on the VC site which is dedicated to VC time pieces.

The color version showing Europe is interesting.

I love the no-color Americas though, damn I want that watch badly.

On any given flight from New York to anywhere, as people put their luggage in the overheads, I see countless Subs and DateJusts. Not too many of these, maybe they're up front !

Well it's enamel, to achieve such a dial is a huge work from the enameler, I also prefer enamel

Yes, exactly -- I am not (yet) obsessed with vintage watches, prefer new models, which are plenty exciting and worthy of obsession.

However, this Mercator-Americas has pierced the veil on vintage for me -- I've just got to find a way to get one.

The compass legs as dial hands are just amazing, a pilot friend of mine sent me a photo of such a tool and of course it's no accident in the watch design.

No doubt this piece is on only a few wrists out there, love the comment on the luggage move and who's wearing what.

Not to revive a thread from the dead, but I got to see this watch for the first time and almost bought one yesterday. It’s amazing!

I’ve bought 9 watches this year. If I spent another $22K on a watch - even one as amazing as this - I’d be in divorce course two months after getting married.
