They have become very popular, but their popularity was not instantaneous. When they were first introduced, some AD's had a difficult time moving them. I recall seeing my first one and feeling that they would look 150% about 10% of the time. At that time a decent discount was offered, I passed. I'd give it some time, it may be your watch, and suit you perfectly.

I would have realized that the design would not be for me when worn for a long period of time.

I’m against fakes like everyone here, but if fakes can serve one positive purpose is to experiment with a design before buying the real thing; it’s not like the AD allows you to test drive a Rolex for a week.

Another option for me and my Hulk is to have spent $1000+ or so on an after-market black ceramic bezel to “tame” the green, essentially making it a reverse Kermit with ceramic bezel.

That's actually something I'd like to see. Has anyone done this and made a reverse Kermit?

Does your AD sell any pre-owned Rolex watches? If so, you could always “flip” back to them. I was listening to a recent ABlogToWatch podcast with a representative from Govberg Jewelers, and he was discussing how they sell some of these very “hot” watches to good customers, at MSRP, even as they will buy and sell pre-owned well above MSRP.

That might be a way to preserve or eve enhance your relationship with your AD.

You do not like it. Do not force yourself to keep it. Do not wear it a month, since it will show signs of wear. Sell it now.

I don’t like the green personally so I’d would have not bought or move it on.

There are quite a few people (including me) that sold the hulk and ended up buying it back at a later date after regretting it. Give it some time

Oddly enough, I never missed my LN at all after selling it a few years ago. I see plenty of them about and it never felt as ‘special’ as the hulk imo

I actually elected to keep the Hulk as I just didn't give it any wrist time after I bought it. Love it now and have been wearing it daily!

Glad you are keeping it.

Once you form the bond, no other watch will come close to it.

Someone here has. I recall seeing pics of reverse Kermit here about 6 months ago. I thought it looked good but I would personally never do it since I don't like mods.

Many people dislike the very light green colour of the bezel, but I actually appreciate it. I love when bezels look "faded" in comparison to the dial (ala ghost bezel vintage subs/gmts), so I find the Hulk fits right in with that ethos, in a very interesting colour-way..

I don't know when, but one day I'll add an LVc to the collection.

I, too, am on the fence about the LVc. My wife hates it, says it screams green! I am not much of a fan about the color green but the dial is beautiful. I wear it in rotation but i can't say whether I will keep it in the long run.

OP
If you are so concerned that if you walk into the AD without the watch on, they will assume you flipped it, just say you left it home. I would be pretty sure if you wore another watch that day, they would not even take notice. You are the AD's best friend, and best customer.....until you walk out the door. And as they say from one salesperson at the store to the other......"next".

My guess is hulk gets flipped and reaquired quite a bit. I’m on my second. The dial is worth owning. In a small collection (3?) may not be right. Although it really can be worn with virtually anything

Just relax and give it some time. It is an amazing watch - and I never had the appreciation for it until I bought it.

A lot of truth in these two statements. First of all, give it some time. At least a month.

Then, your choice is simple, move on or add the LN for a daily and keep the LV for special occasions...good luck!
