Authentic?

Hi guys,

I’m new to this forum. Looking to purchase my first a Rolex but obviously have reservations about buying pre-owned. I found a Sub in my city for sale and was hoping you guys could take a quick look at these crappy photos to see if anything stands out as an obvious fake. I plan to take the watch to a Rolex AD tomorrow to have them take a closer look.

Thanks in advance for your feedback

Try to screw down the crown with these crown guards and you have your answer.
The bracelet is also wrong, as is probably 100% of the watch.

Are the center links polished or brushed? I believe subs are supposed to be brushed

If anything stands out as an obvious fake?

Everything stands out as an obvious fake. We don’t discuss fakes here so that’s about as much feedback as you are going to receive I imagine.

I don’t know enough for the rest, for all I know it could have been swapped out or previous owner had it polished

I haven’t actually seen the watch in person yet so I can’t comment on the links. Just figured I’d throw pics up here before driving across the city to take a look at it.

bracelet is definitely wrong. Also my sub has the serial number in the rehaut between 25 and 35. It looks like yours says rolex all the way around. Not sure if this is wrong or not but just a difference from mine

That watch is a paperweight. It is literally on of the biggest POS fakes I have ever seen - I'm sorry OP, best of luck finding the right watch and thanks for trusting us.

Lol

X100

This is awful. No way the guy is asking normal price for it, and I have a feeling OP knows it’s fake or is the seller to begin with.

Fake. No sub C in a red presentation box and hologram back stickers are wrong. Also the markers are way to large even for a maxi dial. Run!

Sent the seller a message calling him out on this. I’ll see if I get a response. Haha

Thanks again everyone.

Late to the party but that is a very terrible fake. Look at Rolex's website for a real SubC Date and you'll see the obvious differences.

after watching all the you tube videos of the unbelievable fakes I decide buy new from ann AD. Just picked up my first Explorer 2 brand new.
I was considering a Sea Dweller 50th anniv. from Chrono or Bobs but just don't trust that it would be authentic. Im not experienced enough and I probably have an irrational fear. I can't get comfortable with buying used yet.

There is NOTHING that points to genuine!
There seems NO serial number on rehaut at 6
FAKE

Seller said it was his father’s and didn’t have history about it. Hopefully he takes the Ad down
