In...came a week ago! (belated incoming)
Well, finally getting around to putting up a thread about the latest acquisition.
 A bit of back story: this past November I turned 50 (already fat and ugly, and now old too!  ).... and with the release of SD43 50th anniversary, I had thought to myself: "What a nice watch to celebrate one's 50th with!" .... But given another recent acquisition in the year (hulk) I had quickly told myself "No, don't even think about it." Later, I posted some quick shots of me trying one on at the local AD (here is that thread https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=546285 ), and was hoping everyone would say 'Dude, that is too big for you, move on buddy!' ... but noooooo.... the enablers that you all are... to my surprise everyone instead kept telling me how nice it looked on my wrist and how 'I could pull it off'. [[ I should know better than to come here looking for any sane advice!  ]]After a long time of fighting it, and wondering whether I should or shouldn't... finally last week after a series of fortunate events - long story - I came across the opportunity to buy this watch in person locally from Phil (prlwatch). Here I should add that he is a true gentleman and knowing my thoughts on that watch, when for personal reasons he chose not to keep the watch, he gave me the first dibs on it at his cost. We were both happy with the deal, with a lot of good will and good karma to go around. Thank you buddy!  Here are a couple of quick shots of the watch from that day, haven't had a chance to size it and wear it out yet. Looking forward to sizing this baby and sharing more pics on WRUW threads going forward.
