Trade Explorer II for PO 8500
Would you trade an older Explorer II black, for a LNIB Omega PO 232.30.46.21.01.003 (black on bracelet with orange numbers which happens to be my favorite)? Straight trade that is.

Depending on the age and condition of the Exp II, you should be getting some money on top of the Planet Ocean for that trade. Whether you should trade or not, absolutely! The Planet Ocean is an absolutely brilliant watch, knocks the Explorer II out of the park, in my opinion

I would not do it. I have a white dial older model Exp II and a 42mm Planet Ocean 2500D. Both are keepers for me. The PO 8500 is too thick, IMHO. Cheers, Bill P.

Keep the EXPII and pick up the cal. 2500 version of the PO. Nice pre-owned pieces are available or you can contact my dealer for NIB.
After wearing the 16570, you might find the thick case and weight of the 8500 PO to be less than comfortable for daily wear. I know I did. The 8500 is an awesome movement but the 2500 in my PO LM LE is every bit as accurate and reliable as the three 8500s I have owned. (None of the 8500s remain in my collection.) This is my current 42mm trio: All three comfortably caress my wrist. |

Thanks all for the great feedback. The thing pushing me towards the deal is the expy has a couple of dings on the case of the watch. What's holding me back is it's bracelet. It's a K serial so both lug holes and SEL! Which I love and being a black dial, it's more versatile/sporty and way more comfortable with the SELs than my white Daytona 16520.
So Daytona, PO and a Radiomir. Or Daytona, Expy and Radiomir?

I think you need to put a PO on and see if you like it more. Its a great watch but it won't hold its value as well as the Exp.

putting being a fan on the side. i think the the planet ocean 8500 is more technologically updated (wr, long power reserve, big lume, ceramic, good bracelet, ar coating, see through caseback)
all you have to decide is whether you like big hefty watches |

try both on...see what feels better and more comfortable..but I would do the straight trade since I do not think the old beat up Exp II is worth more than the PO ceramic, in any sense of the word..but thats just my opinion.

If you still have the Daytona, why not?
But I wouldn't... The PO design feels more temporary IMO than the last generation of exp 2s |

Definitely but get the old 2500 PO just like mine. I got this piece right before the Holidays and I just can't take it off.
