We just sold my wife's 79240 Silver Tapestry. That was one classy watch, alas she was having a tough time reading the 26mm dial. Old girl is pushing 50, time for a larger-dialed Rolex. I'm thinking a 34mm D.

I am sorry but I cannot hope to compete with some of these wonderful collections, my DJ collection (actually my whole Rolex collection) comprises of a DJ41, see picture below.

The whole DJ range is so impressive and adaptable, the way it can be a Sport watch on an Oyster bracelet or a very cool dress watch on a Jubilee, the fluted bezels adding that bit of zing irrespective of whether it is for casual or formal wear.

I am totally fed up with thread after thread on why I can't buy a 'Sport' watch from my AD, it is soooo boring.

My DJ collection will be added to in the years ahead, even my non watch wife has the bug and is after a DJ36 so spending a bit of the kids inheritance will not be frowned upon.

Anyway, congratulations to those who have over time compiled stunning DJ collections, you have my respect and admiration, I look forward to seeing more pictures.

Very nice collection. I don’t think anybody can claim to have a Rolex collection without having a DJ.

There is something about the tapestry dial(s) that always appeals to me. Very nice.
