My Vintage Rolex

Greetings all!

Since I am new to this forum, I just wanted to say, "Hello and thank you for welcoming me"

Most recently I inherited a very old Rolex timepiece.

1940 Rolex OysterDate Perpetual

Here are some pictures.

However as you can see that this watch looked like it went through WW II

The watch is currently not functional and I would like to ask you all to suggest a reputable watch repair in the Santa Monica/ West-LA area.

I am interested in repairing the all of the scratches and blemishes.

Leatherband? or should I attempt to find the original SS bracelet?

I would love to hear all of your comments and suggestions.

I hope in the future I can share my Rolex experiences with you this forum.

Thank you all and cheers!

Sorry for the delay in making your post public. It got hung up in the system.

Can't help you with service in your area. I'm on the Right Coast.

I'm sure someone in your neck of the woods should be along to help out.

BTW, beautiful watch. Well worth getting it serviced and wearing it.
