15202st vs. dishwashing liquid?

Hey guys,

I gifted myself a 15202st to commemorate my 30th birthday - a decision I have been very happy about so far.

Being new to AP, I'd like to hear your recommendations and experience with keeping the 15202st clean, shiny and without scratches.

Usually I give my watches a soak in a mildly warm glass of water with a small touch of dish washing liquid, let it soak for 10-15 minutes and dry it off with a soft cloth. Does this also go with the 15202st and its 30m depth rating?

Serious?

Why soak? This isn't selvedge denim.

Why not use warm water, a soft toothbrush and dish soap?

Haha I thought the same thing.

Yeah, I just use warm water and a soft bristled toothbrush on my 15202st

+3 that's my routine. Warm water under the tap with a soft toothbrush.

I avoid using a tooth brush as I don't want to risk getting visible scratches on the polished surfaces.

Soaking it to loosen as much grease and dirt on the hard to get places such as between the links in the bracelet...

Problem is that dishwasher fluid can dry out the rubber seals that keep the water out. I would recommend a milder soap, used very sparingly and not on the head except for the underside.
