Funny, I am the exact opposite. If the drive is more than 4 hours, I am flying commercial or not going.

Don’t count miles but typically average about 30-50 flights a year combined work & private. It’s like getting a bus now.
And yes airplane cabins are notorious for germ sharing. Dry air and cramped conditions, plus I like an aisle seat which is meant to be the worst. Luckily it’s mostly short legs now about Europe. Long haul, even up front, still gets tedious.

I quite like a long drive - one of our places to go is an 8 hour trip each direction. Also no faster to fly due to location. Makes for a fun drive with some good music, open roads and a nice car !

Not much .. around 15k/yr. for international flights.
For domestic travel I use my Tesla. I'm happy with free supercharging, autopilot and beautiful scenery. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

Most years, around 120k. I did about half that this year....and somehow I didn’t miss that extra time in the sky!

About 20K a year. Some years I make MVP with Alaska and some years I am just short. Also my preferred airline.

Currently, ~80,000... but my job is about to change in the next few months, so that will too.
As a side note, I HATE flying these days. I only do it when I have to, and then its business class. Flying 24+ hours to the other side of the planet in coach is just not happening for me. |

Just checked my account, 212,591 this year, excluding all the bonus miles that come with premier status. By year end, I’ll hit 250,000. Thankfully I’m pretty resilient eating different foods and can sleep just about anywhere.

Probably around 25-30k —- mostly leisure travel. Don’t do much business travel anymore.

Actual flight/distance miles is probably around 80k, actual qualifying miles are substantially higher. So far this year, I'm at roughly around 68k flight miles, but have earned 115k qualifying miles and 205k FF miles awarded.
I actually don't mind the long haul flights (business class), which make up the bulk of my travel. I typically do 4-5 round trips from JFK or LAX to HKG or SIN each year. I'm happy to settle into my "pod", unplug & relax for 12-18 hours. However, I despise domestic flights regardless of class, unless I magically end up on one of the few airframes that have something approaching lie-flat seats. I used to fly internationally in coach... I was obviously younger & less spoiled back then... LOL |

I work in consulting so generally fly quite a bit but this past couple years I got stuck with a local client so no work related flights but did go to Asia several times for vacation so quite some miles but haven't counted.
