Not here but I did email my guy for an update. He doesn't work weekend so I expect I will hear from him today. I sent him the wrist shot from TRF and said "look whats arriving in the US" Hope he's not too annoyed, LOL. I am # 1 on the list so hopefully it won't be too long. Hope I like it. I sold the other 2 SS versions after a few months with each. I wanted to like them but ended up not. I think I wanted to like them so much because back in 06 when I got them I had been waiting for so long on lists.

I think with the ceramic it will be different. I am really drawn to the contrast on the white. The black has its own charm.

If I don't like it I am sure someone else will

I had the 116520 as well in black. The white looked tiny on me. Im not sure why but the black just didn't blow me away so I flipped after 5 months. The new white does not look small at all to me and the contrast with the white has blown me away. You will NOT be disappointed......

Its my pleasure Alex! I know a lot of guys are trying to decide between the black or white, so Im glad to aid in this AND they are apparently going to difficult to see in person for a while. Ive had LOTS of watches and this one very well might be my all time favorite.

My contact from the AD advised they may be getting some of these beauties in over the next month or so. I can't wait to see it in person. The Canadian MSRP is $14,250 plus taxes. I am second in line on the wait list for the white dial. Decisions, decisions.

Hands down, the white dial. Don't need to see both side by side to know that is my preference.

Thanks again for starting and more importantly, keeping this thread going!

Thanks buddy.

Just trying to decide on this one or a YG Daytona. I know it is a completely night and day comparison in terms of pricing, but that is not what I am after. The look of the watch is my primary concern.

Just to confirm that they are out in the wild. So those who are truly first on the list will soon get called.

This is a wild one (not mine), on my wrist. Cheers.

I really like the white ceramic daytona on photos but I have yet to see one in real life. You already have a YG daydate. Why not go for the Rose Gold daytona with the ceramic bezel on leather?

That's a good alternative, but my preference is full bracelet for sport models. No disrespect meant towards folks who have this reference.

I have went back and forth between the RG and YG Daytona and ultimately prefer the YG over the RG.

I don't want to hijack this thread with my preferences, but in all honesty, the 116500 with white dial is a work of art. Can't wait to try one on.

Sorry for the continued hijacking. Eric, as one of your trusted advisors, I would send you towards the 500. While the allure of PM remains ever present, the white dial is a stunner. Moreover, with a PM Daytona in the mix, you'll have more considerations when picking a watch to wear. With your existing line-up and having to pick, you may run late in perpetuity. The steel will set it apart and while I'm not one that falls for trends typically, it would be fun to rock this baby as an early adopter. Just my unsolicited opinion. Hope all is well in Vancouver.

Thanks Dave. Your advice and words are always welcome.

I, like you am not to follow trends either, but the 116500 will be an instant classic, that I am sure of. Unlike the US, I am sure this one will be difficult to get up here in the great white north. I may very well get this one first for the exact reasons mentioned in your post and along with the fact the YG Daytona is not hard to come by. A simple order to Rolex is all it would take. Highly unlikely for the 116500.

All is well in Vancouver. Thanks for asking. I hope all is well for you and yours in the Big Apple.

The reflection off of the bezel is really beginning to bother me now, in 90% of your real-world photos it looks like the old steel bezel I didn't like instead of the piano-black one I was willing to die for.

Is it just a coincidence on how you are taking photos or where you are standing? Or a week-in does the bezel really not look deep black like it does in the renders except at very specific angles?
