Abysmal new Rolex website

It is so hard to navigate and just find the page for certain models, it seems to be designed to give the illusion of customization, similar to the build feature on a car manufacturers website. All I want to do is find the specs on the steel GMT. If I were new to Rolex it would be impossible to familiarize myself with the range, many models appear to be almost hidden they are so difficult to find.

Maybe they figured if you can’t find them on the website you won’t be as disappointed when you can’t find them in the stores.

Thinking this last week everything seems to be so seperated now. Should be one sub section for each model despite whether its green/blue/blCk dial

I don't like it as well. They were on the right track with the last iteration...

Looks good but agree it’s not at all intuitive from a collection standpoint

you can get to that still, but it takes many, many steps

I think they have never heard - nor understand -the saying "If it ain't broke don't fix it." Never had any problem with the previous website. I really don't understand this, change for the sake of change. Like tyler1980 says, "you can get to that still, but it takes many, many steps", and that seems to apply to anything.

It's a commercial and not a site for choosing watches. It drives people to the ADs. I mean do I really need 500 images of shaking Hans Wilsdorf greeting me? Of course not. He's not even pertinent.

Their in-house webdesign team has as many brain cells as the watches in their AD display cases; 0 (or very few).

the takeaway is this. Rolex's new website while awful, is so much better than Patek's instagram. That one is painful.

The landing page is a mess...very difficult to locate the "watches" menu due to all the distractions (and no idea whats up with bouncing photos of young HW). However, I found the configurator tool to be kind of cool as it allows you to easily customize each model.

Yep, even my AD agrees. The new website update is very quirky and hard to navigate. Also, to configure a model, you have to go through a bunch of advertisement for that model to get there.

It always amazes me how crappy these watch websites generally are..as in...hard to navigate..
And considering its Rolex..cant they afford to hire designers that know what they are doing..what tf..

Agree. The navigation is far from intuitive, with a very cluttered interface. Needs to be improved ASAP, but I doubt this will happen anytime soon.

I agree with the newer version being cumbersome.

Easiest method to find a particular item from the main page is to grab the RH scroll tab and move it rapidly to the bottom where you can then choose from the model list.

"Booo" to the new site version. But the area where when you get to it, the watch hands rapidly spin up to the correct time is kinda fun. For a few seconds.

Agreed. The updated website is a missed opportunity and a downgrade in user friendliness.

Agreed and I find it uses a lot of computer resource to load, much more than the previous iteration.

User experience and navigation is awful. Definately a step backwards.
