it's a technological marvel... for a station wagon

I must be in the minority... but I'm not a fan of the styling, particularly the front.

Any chance this will come in a manual?
Cool car! Quick question. How do you like the 63 engine?

The model designation is “63” - my wagon is a 2014, so it has the older permanent AWD system and a 5.5 liter bi-turbo engine. Factory rated at 577hp and 590tq.

It has enough grunt to launch a 4,700 lb station wagon from nil to 60mph in 3.5 seconds. Best way to describe it is “brutal”

I’m certain the RS6 is the same way.

2020 Audi RS6 Avant Finally Comes to America

I’d stick with the naturally aspirated GT3. If it’s truly an either or and you don’t need to sacrifice for anything then it sounds like you may prefer the GT3? I have a 600hp F90 M5 and a GT3 and while the M5 is brutally fast it’s nowhere near as enjoyable as the Porsche. Also value retention will be much better on the GT3 if you can get one.

This will be fun to drive. Some cool features. Not a huge fan of the nose. To Lexus looking too many flicks. Was in Audi's for about 10 years. Then went to MB on my last car.

FYI, do not give up on the GLC 63S in the SUV. There are rumors that with the updates to the GLC line next year we may see the 63S in the states. That is on the top of my list for next summer when I will order my next car.

If an Audi is used as a getaway car, is the tow truck driver charged as an “accessory” to the crime ?

That would be awesome. The 177 engine(I think it's called) is probably the best performance engine around. AMG has also done a great job with the awd and transmission of that vehicle, it really is a bombproof speed monster. The 63s SUV was faster on the 'ring then an F80 M3, that is astonishing.

They're super common over here. Why didn't they sell them in the US before? They'll sell like hotcakes.

They didn't believe there was a market for it. I think it will sell equal to most vehicles in it's segment, but not like hot cakes. For one Audi prices RS models in the US a bit high compared to AMG and M cars and while it is fast, the AMG and M cars are better at performance as it relates to tracks and awd systems(both AMG and M cars in this segment can turn off the front diff creating essentially a rear wheel drive vehicle, the Audi Quattro cannot.
I still prefer it over it's competitors by far.

For sure, I have watched that video of the ring about a dozen times. Fastest SUV on the planet. With the upgraded AMG performance exhaust the sound is amazing. I am praying they offer the SUV in S trim next year. My lease is up and I plan to build something next summer for delivery in the fall. There are a few really good review videos out there on the GLC 63S SUV (not the coupe). I test drove the coupe and it drives like a sports car. Super fun. Just do not care much for the coupe look.

Have fun with the process. Last car I test drove about 20 different vehicles. My list is shorter this time.
