I got to see it in person a few weeks ago and was very impressed. This is my favorite colorway of the new SMP 300, but still wish they kept the 41mm size.

White looks ace, reminds me of my D500 which we know is a roaring success.

I’m probably going to ruffle some feathers, but I finally got to see this in person, and it rivals the Daytona. It’s jaw dropping in the metal. Comparison picks:

I might be going back tomorrow to get it...

I own the black face on rubber and absolutely love it. But this watch is an amazing addition to most collections that are predominantly black faces. Really an awesome looking watch.

Tried on all colorways and the Ceramic recently. I really like the White on black rubber strap and will probably add it. The ceramic is nice but didn't have a date and is bigger.

Some really great shots in here, guys. I like that they are in various lighting and not the press photos from Omega. Y'all are putting the SMP back on the radar....

The thing with Omega is I didn't see any press on the release of this version. I happened by the AD a couple months ago looking for the white speed master and my sales associate mentioned this new one and said they were expecting to get in just one. On Christmas Eve I called to check and sure enough they had it in! Once I put it on I knew I wasn't taking it off.

P.S. i will take a rotating bezel over a Chrono any day

It’s beautiful. Two questions. In-house movement? What material is the bezel made of? Thanks.

It is an in-house movement. It is the Omega 8800 Caliber: self-winding co-axial movement that is METAS certified. It has a free sprung balance with a silicon balance spring (anti-magnetic to fields up to 15,000 gauss) with a power reserve of about 55 hours.

The bezel is ceramic with a white enamel scale for the markers.

I don’t “need” this watch and I have many that fill it’s roll in my collection yet I still “want” one. I am a automatic movement nerd and Omega’s movements are like crack to me. They are just magnificent by anyone’s standards. Omega Master Chronometers don’t take a backseat to anything. They are that good.
My POC Master Chronometer is my most accurate watch so I probably could justify it needs a little brother. It’s a sickness.

It's gained about 3 seconds after 10 days. Omega really nailed it with this one! I especially like the legibility of the black hands against the white face, and the two different lume colors.

I have the black strap ordered...but I really like the bracelet on it. We'll see how it works out, but I'm thinking of throwing the bracelet on this guy to mix things up. I think it'll work nicely (wasn't a fan of the yellow gold two tone bracelet, although I did like the sedna/black version).

A stunner! Looking at your sig (Rolex, PP, AP), this must be your choice for a great mechanical that looks sharp but can go places that you would not want to take your Rolex, PP, AP.

These SMP are the best. All beautiful. I owned the black ceramic and just wore too big for me. Moved to the white dial.

Nice video! I love it. It’s the perfect watch for the pool/beach. The helium escape valve never bothered me either. It’s part of the SMP.

Great video, wow that watch looks amazing especially on the black strap WOW! I wish you hadn't posted that - I previously thought I was done buying watches and now you have me thinking on picking one of these up

Must..... Stop.....

The only thing I don't understand about that strap is why they didn't go with a deployant clasp? I'm sure there is a good reason, but Omega makes about the best deployant out there and I would think it would work fine with this strap? Maybe the thickness of the strap works better with a tang system?

I don't understand why they didn't do a deployment either, and there is not even an option to do one.

I agree, even though the buckle is of high quality and stylish ... I would prefer a deployment. And thank you for the nice compliment

So...I thought I'd be all clever and say it does work with an Omega deployant (it's a 20mm strap that tapers to 18mm). I tried to put my snoopy deployant on it, but the holes are different, so the strap wouldn't stick. However, I did discover this (totally unrelated but fun)
