Blue Speedmaster Moonphase quick question

I keep trying to fight the urge to pick one of these up. I can't get over how good it looks in blue and love the idea of owning a moonphase watch.

Question on the strap. What is the lug width on these? Does anyone know if the standard Moonwatch bracelet will work with this watch? I love the blue leather strap but it would be nice to slap on my moonwatch bracelet from time to time.

Thanks!

The Speedmaster Moonphase has a lug width of 21mm and the standard Moonwatch has a lug width of 20mm.

Cool watch. I own the Blue Side of the Moon and have enjoyed it. I do like the strap option as I have alot of bracelet watches.

Looks great! Love this watch in all its forms. Probably my favorite watch that Omega produces, although I have yet to see it in the flesh. Agree with you I think the blue strap is the best option on this watch. I was asking only in the sense that I already have a Moonwatch and it would be nice if the bracelets were interchangeable. Oh well

Can you give me your thoughts on how it feels to wear it? A lot of people bring up the thickness as a negative, more so than the diameter. The diameter doesn't scare me since they wear smaller due to the way Omega measures their watches (they include the crown guard in the measurement). Wondering about that thickness though.

For the amount of functions this watch has it is understandable that it's going to be a thicker watch. Incredible that they fit chrono, date, and moonphase features in the same watch.

I think the watch wears great and I do not have an issue with the 44.25 mm or the thickness. I have never noticed anything about thickness and while I typically wear larger watches, I think that the BSOTM is very comfortable. Wearing the ceramic version takes all the weight away. If you can buy this watch right then go for it, you will not be disappointed.

Thanks William. I'm going to check with my AD and see if they have one in stock or can get one. I really want to try this watch on before committing to buying it. Sometimes they offer really good deals around the holidays. If I can get them to knock 25-30% off I may consider buying one new.

Hi Mike. In Post #3, I gave you the bracelet #.
I bought the black Speedy Moonphase on strap, i.e. 304.33.44.52.01.001.
Posted seller info in this Who's Who thread - Post #5:
https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=582600
I found this preowned, like new bracelet at Bernard Watch:
https://www.bernardwatch.com/Omega/S...acelet/OMG3391
Although I've only had the watch one week, I've worn it on both strap and bracelet. I find it really comfortable and well balanced. The leather strap's deployant clasp is superb.
The bracelet clasp has a micro-adjustment operated by a push button - no tools. Omega's link removal/install is diabolical. Something best left to your AD, if you don't have the proper tools and a surplus of patience.
The Blue Side piece (304.93.44.52.03.001) looks fantastic. The weight savings should be substantial.
Good hunting!

Great information and thanks for the links. I checked their site and none in stock currently. Can I ask how much you paid for it used? You can PM me if you prefer not to put it out on this thread. I have their strap/deployant on my moonwatch and agree, it is fantastic. Super comfortable too.

When I click on the Bernard link in Post #10, I see a dollar figure with a line through it - seven two zero. That's the price I paid. Added was a Fedex two-day fee of $30.
When I searched for "Omega STZ005669" on Google, I got just two hits. This one:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Omega-SPEED...AAAOSwJrdcbxKr
and a couple Google pages back, the Bernard's listing.
I expected at least 50 of 'em on eBay, but there was only one.
If you could tolerate a used black Moonphase, take a look at this Topper listing.
https://shop.topperjewelers.com/coll...0-44-52-01-001
I mention it 'cause on Cyber Monday + Tuesday they had an extra 10% off the listed price. Give Rob Caplan at Topper a call. Maybe he'd still give you the discount.
Note that this watch has all 3 cards and the description says "purchased March, 2019." Most of the 5 year warranty remains.
Rob and Topper Jewelers have been a trusted seller on TZ for many years. They're an Omega AD.

I meant how much you paid for the watch itself. There's a brand new on on our classified right now for like $8K but that's just too high for me secondhand, stickers or not. I may be able to get close to that at my AD. Thanks for the tip on the black one but as of now I have my heart set on the blue with the leather strap
