Being a hand wound movement, does anyone know if when you reach the maximum power reserve the crown stops turning (resistance when winding) or does it keep winding but it disengages from the spring?

Every hand-wound movement I have ever encountered does the former, and not the latter. I suppose the crown stops turning with 3861, too.
