Where to buy my sub date in nj
Hi, I am new here and I am going to purchase my first Rolex in the next few weeks. I am torn between a black sub date or the gmt with the black and blue dial, whats better in your opinion? I live in Staten Island and read on some old posts that I am better off going to Nj. Any reccomendations? Will either of these models be discounted anywhere or should I drive to Delaware just to save the tax. Thank you all in advance I look forward to hearing from you all.

Sub Date. My dealer in TX is great to work with (saved $$ on not having to pay tax).

If you are thinking of Delaware, we only have two in the state. Fortunately, they are both up north. A straight run down the NJT. I would call them first to make sure they have what you're looking for.
Of your two choices, I'd go for the GMT. The sellers here on the Forum is really the way to go. Wire today, wrist tomorrow. Almost forgot, welcome to TRF.

Leonardo's in Red Bank. Ask for Paul. Tell him Kyle sent you. He is a watch lover himself and is very knowledgeable.

If you buy in NJ, you really want to buy at Leonardo's in Elizabeth, sales tax should be 3.5% since it's an "Urban Enterprise Zone". That 3.5% sales tax is why Ikea is a madhouse on weekends with a parking lot full of New York license plates. I would have bought at Leonardo's, but wanted to go shopping at the Christiana Mall area with my son after I did some watch shopping. Cheers, Corey One more comment, don't go to Leonardo's in Red Bank on the weekend. Traffic will suck, I live down there and it's bad. Last edited by Corey986; 19 July 2017 at 03:41 AM.. I purchased my first Rolex GMT II from a local NJ seller right here on TRF. He posted, I PMed and we did an in person at his local bank branch. Couldn't be more happy with the watch, condition, price, or ease of transaction. I took my new-to-me GMT to B&B to get a link removed for proper sizing. First time there, Ben removed the link and sized. No charge. I noticed he had cases full of jewelry but only had a few Rolex watches on display. Last week I Went back to B&B to see about pricing for a Hulk. There were none on display so I asked if he had any in stock. Well, out came the Rolex inventory, within 2 minutes I had 4 Hulks in front of me and he was asking , which one? He has a large selection, great pricing. I was back the next day and now have a GMT and Hulk in my collection. Just use caution when purchasing your Rolex, it is extremely addicting! Good luck. |

I'd reach out to Thanh Do (Takuya). He'll take good care of you and you'll save some money.

I too recommend Sidney Thomas in the Short Hills mall. Ask for Chris - very professional, a nice guy and a pleasure to work with.

Just get a new in box from one of the trusted sellers here. DavidSW, JustRolexes (Tony).
Overnight FedEx and always great prices and smooth communication. Great inventory and can get either watch you want. They did for me |

If you want new go to my boy Rick at Lee Perla at the Riverside in Hackensack.
Family owned and unlike the .... at Sydney Thomas, you'll be treated like family. If you want used, hit up Takuya.
