I have owed my explorer with 3132 movement since 2011 and the daily consistency after 6 years is 0.3 seonds variation a day. It is regulated to run 3.3 seconds fast but the consistency with how much is varies from this regulation is 0.2 seonds per day for the last month since I started checking the daily variation from how it is regulated. That is truly mind blowing isochrous time keeping.
Had i got it regulated to -+ 0 seconds a day then it would vary by only 0.2 seconds from this regulation on a daily basis. This shows how well the changes have improved accuracy since this moments inception Abd the advancement in lubrication that ensure lower friction and a more consistent time keeping. This could easily Achieve -+ 2 seonds a day since it is 10x the accuracy of the higher level COSC specification. I don’t know how any watch can improve on a daily variation of 0.2 seconds per day for a months period. I daily checked my accuracy and on the first day it was running 3.4 seonds and its never been more then 3.5 or less then 3.2 seonds. The real accuracy of a watch is the consistency of the daily variation. And this movement people for me at least is showing unreal isochroism. This is my daily wearer since I am a plumber and it gets treated real rough. |

Over the last 3 days my Tudor GMT is +/- 0. I really can’t believe how accurate it is.

114300 and runs on average -0.5s with low variance. Mostly it's between -0.3s and -0.7s
Occassionaly a swing at -1.5s or +1.0s. Not sure what happened there |

Exp I - +2.78 seconds a day on average, (2 months of daily measurement)
Sky-D - +2.93 seconds a day on average (1 month) Wish they were lower... but meh it doesn't really matter. Once a month I fix the time... tempted to maybe set them 30 seconds slow. |

I've come to the conclusion that my rolex is just jewelry. I've given up on checking accuracy. There are times when I don't even set the time when I put it on. I enjoy wearing and looking at it.

might be a stupid question but here goes. i am losing about 1-2 seconds every day.
i wear my sub every day but this past week there were some periods where i didnt wear it for a couple hours, did a swim event and didnt wear it for half the day on one day, the other day rushed out the shower, got dressed to meet with family and didnt have time to put it on so didnt have it on for about 7 hours ( i was running really really late) what im trying to find out is, does that do anything to its accuracy if i dont have it on and moving so its winding itself more? |

Long story short ... my watch was running +9 secs
Got my watch back after regulated (2006 - 16610) Checking accuracy during the last 3 days. It's running almost perfect +/- 0 If anyone needs regulation done in Vancouver area. Otto Friedl did an awesome job. |

Interesting point. When I got my first Rolex in the early 80s, what we would say that you don’t buy the watch for accuracy. You kind of lived with having to reset the time every couple of weeks. Since the parachrome hairspring all of my watches have been dead on balls accurate (it’s an industry term). Mad props for anyone who knows where I got the term without using google, Siri or Alexa.

My AK 5500: +1.4 sec per day (Mid 80's production)
My TT DJ 16013: -2.5 sec per day. (Mid 70's production) They're mechanical watches and once or twice a month I re-set them. However, if they're going to lose or gain a few seconds, I prefer they gain a few. When I need to reset the DJ I usually set it 15 seconds fast. I have found that using the Rolex "regulating" guideline sheet, if I need the DJ to gain a couple of seconds, I leave it dial up overnight and by morning it's gained the couple of seconds it's lost during the day. |

I have what I believe to be a 1983 Datejust 16013 that gains around 1.4 seconds a day. That's better than I would expect for a watch of that age, but happy to have it.

My sub is just as accurate as my Mudmaster. Scary accurate. My wife’s DJ maybe loses a minute a month.

After my cat just recently knocked my Exp II off the counter onto the floor it is now losing a good 5 seconds a day...was not like this before "the incident". Argh!

I check them at first and unless there is a big gain or loss like is good. By the way I have never had one that went that way.

My Datejust 41 which I purchased this past Dec 22nd, is running 8 seconds fast over the last 22 days. About 0.36 seconds per day. Absolutely incredible....

My DJ 41 is crazy accurate -- +/- less than a second a day. When I wear it consistently, it's virtually 0.0. My Sub is not too shabby either, gaining less than two seconds a day unless I wear it while I'm very active.

My 12/2018 116710BLNR gained no time the entire month of December. I set it using the Hodinkee app on 12/1, and I was pleasantly surprised when I checked again over 20 days later (using the same app) and found a +0 difference. Daily wear.
And... my 11/2017 116710LN is ~+1 to +2/day. |

I've been testing my Yachtmaster 116655 for the last 2 weeks and was expecting about 2 seconds per day.
My old Seiko automatic was accurate to 2.8 seconds per day. The 100 year old railway fuse was 13 seconds per day (and still can be easily regulated to be more precise). And the Rolex? A shocking 0.2 seconds per day. Rolex's are better watches than I thought. I am really impressed. |
