hmmm............the smile is there for many reasons.

firstly, others will get a chance to own a 507 bronzo ( happy for others)

secondly, i'm very happy keeping my 382 bronzo ( happy for myself)

thirdly, the 508 would fit nicely into my collection of Submersibles although i'm now thinking whether i should buy the 389 AMagnetic Submersible

I would skip the 389 and go for the 508, but if you can manage both...

well each Submersible is special on their own. the 389 AMagnetic is anti-magnetic which probably explains why everyone is not drawn to it once the 508 is released. hahahaha.

the 508 black is so sexy but the price ............... keeps getting more and more expensive. i do hope it comes with a ceramic box as well. hahahaha

They are such different models so I guess I should have expected such polarizing views. I don't know how to say it but they are both nice in completely different ways.

Neither.

I would want the 15, 30, 45 numbers to face ME, rather than facing the center of the watch. Don't like that part of the design.

It's crazy
In euro : 13.000

3 hands and a ceramic case .... 13.000 euro

Look at Zenith, JLC or IWC and see what you can get for that price.

Neither. I do not get the bronzo thing at all and not a fan of the power reserve on the dial as much as many will tell you its not so bad. Not so bad for me = not so good. I also dont love an all ceramic case. I like the 389 very much. Only sub in the panerai lineup that does it for me is the 389.

I saw the 507 in the flesh last weekend and despite being sceptical about it on release it looks amazing. The press images don't do it justice, I do wish panerai would get a decent photographer in. The power reserve meter just somehow fits and works, weirdly it doesn't look stuck on, it looks like it was always meant to be there I wasn't the only one who came to this conclusion and if you're not sure about hold off until you actually see one. The 508 wasn't there which makes the comparison difficult. The 508 in a black box would be really cool, I have heard the 507 is coming in the same wooden box as the 382.

Was able to see the 508 in person a couple of months ago..
It was in the shop for display only..

Looks great in person.. Aesthetically speaking.. Its stunning IMHO.
But for the price.. I'd say pass..
50/50 for as well..

For me 508 without a second's hesitation, I just hate the "Bronzo", whereas I love the ceramic...

507. The bronzo for sure. I think it would age well. Not sure about ceramic watches. I can just see myself dropping and shattering the 508.

I couldn't decide between these either, so ordered them both. Will be nice to have these two as my first Panerai's :) But if i had to choose one, I'd lean a bit more to 508.

I started this early 2013 , when they showed us the 532 it was a no brainer for me.

Went without doubt for the 532 :-)

In the end, neither, because I don't like the "power reserve" and "ceramica" text on the dials.
i think we could forgive the power reserve simply because they used bronze

I don't think the watch would shatter just by dropping it, I think you need a serious shock to break them....
