Wearing my SubC during 2017 vacation!

I recently wore my SubC date on a vacation cruise and Mexican excursions, I know some Rolex owners are hesitant about wearing their timepieces while on vacation or outside the country. If you are going to worry about it, don't wear a Rolex or higher end watch, however, if your watch is insured then wear and enjoy it!

Glad to hear you enjoyed it! I recently took my SubC to a few beach vacations and I loved wearing it. I agree with you, if it's insured it should take some of the stress off, however at the same time you don't want to intentionally make yourself a target.

I would fear making myself a target, and for my personal safety, more than the fear of losing the watch. But I am also kind of paranoid about these things, so I am extra careful.

Wife and I are heading to Italy (Rome) this week. Going to be sporting the Sub C without any worries.

I'm off to Spain to get married next Saturday , then onto Sri Lanka and then Maldives. Still going back and forth about whether I should take my new SubC

It was purchased for my wedding so really want it to be there.

I took my WG sub and LVc to Brasil !

I was afraid to get off the plane ✈️ and when I did get to the house I stayed locked into the bathroom !! Actually we don't have bathroom we have the jungle and coconut trees as
our out house and have to worry about Indigenous jungle peoples coming from the rain forest attacking me as I squat !

Scary

Just kidding !

What good is insurance if you're dead and cant make a claim lol. That said i wouldnt fear wearing a stainless model on vacation as much as a gold

Worn my stainless rolexes subs, datejusts all over the world. Nice thing about a sub date is that they are common especially in places that are tourist destinations like Maldives Mexico etc.... so maybe they'll steal someone else's! Kind of a joke but kind of true as well.
