Watch Storage Case for 6 plus

Hi Guys,

My watch collection has "outgrown" their existing storage, so I am looking for a watch storage case/box something commensurate with the quality of high-end watches. I've read that some glues used in construction of cheap watch cases could cause metal staining/degradation after prolonged storage.

The only one I found so far is Underwood 6 watch storage case
https://www.underwood-london.com/sho...er-watch-boxes

Any other suggestions would be much appreciated.

I also notice that number of members here seem to be using Phase De Lune watch rolls to store their watches. Is this accurate? Do you store your collection in watch rolls rather than cases?

Thanks

Hodinkee makes really nice leather storage cases, the ones for 8+ watches cost like $850 but are worth it for me at least.

thanks VLPS.
I've had similar case before. It's perfect for watches on a strap but could scratch a caseback if you are storing watches on a bracelet.

would much prefer a standard "pillow" cases.

I’d get Louis Vuitton or Goyard. George Cleverley also does a very nice one, but it’s only for 4 watches.

Seeing you live in Australia, you can purchase from Mr. Porter and they have a selection of watch boxes from different brands including some of the ones mentioned above:

https://www.mrporter.com/en-au/mens/...ch_accessories

Free delivery too with their current promotion code on the top of the screen.

I bought one of those wood ones on ebay. With felt on the sides and bottoms. I want to say it was like $50... wood with glass top. Suprised wood quality was on par with my patek box. Dont have the link. Sorry

Patek dealer gave us a wolf leather box which we dont use. Prefer the $50 box

i have a storage like this, it is really good because it would help your watch to avoid scratch and keep the watch safe there by helping the watches to avoid been polished.

Anyone have a recommendation for mens/ladies boxes? Problem we have is that my wife's watches will not fit on the mens pillows, cannot close the clasp and tuck them in nicely. I cannot seem to find anything online which has both, nor can I find just ladies pillows that I could use. Any ideas?

the rapport ones (or at least the model I have) have a removable sleeve to make the pillow smaller. As it comes it works for my watches and i remove the sleeve and it fits my wife's

We buy display pilows for jewelry for ladies watches. They sell them by size. And then tuck them in yhe wastch boxes.

Have a look at Underwood watch boxes. They have a C-shaped metal watch holder that is wrapped in a soft material. You can bend it to your preferred size.

Buben & Zorweg boxes are the absolute best quality and their winders are second to none.

i was going to buy one. I went into harrods and asked for the 10 and they had the big one (16 i think) and said either buy this or wait six months for the 10. Seriously we are wait listing for a watch box now?... no thanks

Happy with the Rapport one

The winders are fabulous. I'd probably wait for one of those.

I am a fairly frequent Harrods visitor but they never have stock of these - I have purchased all my B&Z boxes and winders from MisterChrono.

http://www.misterchrono.com/en/luxur...watch-box.html

I have one of these (below) I'm looking to sell (UK only) - used but almost perfect. I prefer the carbon version.

they don't let you add to cart so do you have to call or something? I tried that before as i get my phase de lune travel rolls from them.

I prefer the carbon as well.

I don't remember having to call or wait - perhaps they are limiting production.

If you don’t mind me asking what sort of prices are these?

Keep toying with this winder for when my home office is finished as I get dealer pricing but it’s still more the most watches I’ve owned!

the winders start around £4500 for a basic 4 winder and go way way up like six figures.

I like this one but its like £6k-ish i think
https://www.buben-zorweg.com/en/coll...olution-8.html

The one you linked probably costs more because you would need 4 of them vs a 4 winder

the box is like £1500ish i believe

I remember looking at this winder a while back. Is it still retailing for over €10,000?

Yeah the Gyrowinder are retail ~€20,000

I’d only have one on my desk and have a normal winder or watch box in the safe.

That revolution 8 does look nice but my concern given my current taste in watches the cost it would take to fill it you’ve ok you can easily fill it with PP’s

no way i would buy a 20k winder... unless it was a watch worth 5X the winder minimum. B&Z has a super cool safe winder where you push a button and the watch cabinet rises out of it. Way more than 20k but that would be worth it as at that kind of collection or individual watch value you would want to display them and easily secure them without doing anything or having to move them somewhere else.

Problem with MANY boxes is they do not have storage space for extra watch bands, tools, etc. The LV box has storage below the top tray so went with that. Works great!
