I would view the waiting list the same as the queue outside Studio 54 in the 1970's. You think you're in a line, they tell you that it's a line, but then Mick Jagger rolls up and walks right in. Then they come out and pick some people dressed the right way from the back of the line. Then a drug dealer goes in. Then 3 really beautiful girls. At some point it dawns on you that this isn't a line, there is no waiting list.
