Cell: "Password" Still Best

According to this article, "Those cheering on the 'death of the password' might want to think again."

Perhaps my tinfoil hat is too tight, but in an age when stories about app developers and phone manufacturers actively stealing data are so commonplace that they barely raise an eyebrow anymore, I don't see why anyone would want biometric data on their phone anyway.

I'm there with you. Sadly, most people willingly hand over a lot of their info. And they don't mind giving up more.

Yup, these timesaving tools are a godsend. For someone, not necessarily you.

Biometric data are excellent usernames, using them as passwords is just wrong, that's not how it is supposed to be used. The places I have been with iris scanners use them as a username, first you scan your iris, then you enter your password.

I am waiting for the gadget manufacturers to actually get this and have this as an option, I have disabled any biometric "passwords" on my phone and use a regular password.

Luckily I don't have to worry about this. The size of my head precludes anyone from creating it on a 3D printer. Not enough filament in the world for that STL file.

I don't do any financial transaction on my phone, only from my laptop. I know, this sounds archaic, but I'm old.

Sounds like maybe Face ID on my new iPhone XR is may be a bust.

I’m not worried about being arrested and the police forcing me to open my phone. If that happens, so be it, I probably deserve it...although I really hope not.

In the real world should I be worried about it being hacked or worry about it for some other reason?

I am thinking I can getting a pretty cool looking bust done of me.
