Do you live in a tent in your backyard as to not live in and use your house cause it is rising in value?

Cmon! These are watches we are talking about. Wear em, use em, enjoy em.

I have a daily rotation and am not hesitant to wear them regularly despite current market values. I grew up seeing my father wear his DJ everyday (and still wearing) since 1982 (37 years). I intend to do the same with my few SS pieces. That's where I will see it's true value for my dollar. Will focus more on maintaining good health to see this through!

A watch is meant to be worn surely. Why bother otherwise

Actually have not been wearing them because I have been enjoying other brands, not because of their value. I wear all of my watches regardless of value.

Rolex is the perfect watch when I only had one but now that I have several watches, I find the others on leather more interesting.

It is curious to me how the Rolex suddenly just sit there looking bulky.

Have been enjoying my Seiko diver watches which are awesome watches which cost almost nothing...while seeing prices of my SS sport watches going through the roof.

I treat my sub as if it is bomb proof, which I am convinced it is.

The more beautiful the watch, the more I would want to wear it.
Increase in value is just not part of the equation when it comes to wearing a watch unless you buy it as a pure investment. And if it's just a long term investment, the question of whether to wear it or not should not even come up. You just leave your watch in a safe and forget about it until you're ready to sell it for a profit.

One happened on high speed train to Xiamen from Guangzhou. Not sure how really, maybe from my jacket though. The 2nd was reaching behind a heavy double door to reach a light switch.. Metal corner decorative piece got in my way!

Over time that clasp is going to pick up much more than what you have there. :) Like with anything the first scuffs are usually the most troublesome but then you get over it. Wear it and enjoy!

Do you no longer wear your SS model because of the increasing value?

Rolex makes upwards of 1M+ watches each year (based on best estimates I can find). Modern Rolex watches are not rare and the value will remain relatively unchanged. Wear and enjoy.

My 1680 was my Father’s daily driver for 50 years and on my 50th he gifted me that watch I grew up seeing everyday. After an RSC service it’s now my daily driver and will be given to my Son. Enjoy the journey

I've noticed the same thing. Since my DSSD has increased in value around $1k I really want to take care of it now so I reapplied all the stickers and bezel protector and only wear it that way. If I leave the house I often put one of those wrist sweatbands over it to further protect my investment.

I wear it all the same. It's insured so I'm covered from that angle. The only concern is that it could be stolen and I'd be stuck without being able to get a similar watch.

I don't ever buy a car I won't drive and I would never buy a watch I wouldn't wear. Don't really consider them investments, its a bonus that several models have appreciated in value but since I don't plan on selling them and life is short I just wear them.
