Hello guys. This is my first post on these forums so forgive me if im asking something thats been answered a ton of times before but....
Just got serious about watches about 4 years ago. My grail was the 41mm Seamaster 300 black dial for the last 3-4 years. Up until the new 42mm came out and completely blew my mind. I was tracking the 41mm on Jomashop and it was offered for as low as $2775 at one point. I bought a Hamilton Khaki and a SKX on Joma and had positive experiences but I hesitated every time on pulling the trigger on the SM due to almost everything I read saying not to buy from a non-ad. (Urban Gentry, Reddit etc.) The problem with buying from an AD is that I'm from NYC and the only AD option is the boutique and they don't give a discount at all from what I hear. Do you guys have any advice? I'd like the 42mm new version with a black dial. Joma has them for $3885 but it seems like at the Omega Boutique it would be $4850. I just can't do $4850. Any suggestions/advice would be super appreciated. I am not opposed to buying used but I think with this model the difference would be $200-300 and for that I would rather by BNIB. |

Best way to buy the new Seamaster for a NYer
Hi guys. This is my first post on these forums. Sorry if this is a repeat question here but I am in the market for the new 42mm 300. I was in love with the old 41mm and tracked it on grey market for a while. I had noticed it as low as $2795 but never pulled the trigger due to the lack of an Omage warranty and bad past experiences I read about from others on Reddit and listening to Urban Gentry on youtube. I personally purchased an SKX and a Hamilton Khaki from Joma with no issues but a $3k purchase is something I'm not willing to make any risks on.
So, my question is, I live in NYC and the only AD is the Omega Boutique. From what I hear they will not give much of a dicount off the retail price if anything. And retail for the new 42mm with black dial is $4850 which is not in my price range Do you guys know of any out of state ADs or another way to purchase. Basically looking for some good advice. Thanks everyone. |

Prestige time has them for around 4 grand I believe. It comes with a two year Prestige Time warranty.

Take a trip across the river to Menlo Park mall and try Safa Jewelers- should be able to get 15% off . I also would recommend Exquisite Timepieces in Naples, FL. Ask for Evan. Both of these stores should be able to ship to you without sales tax . Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Hi Ben! I have been following your instagram and post here and I must say you have one hell of a collection. Wondering what is your take if you have to compare the SMP300's blue dial and WG Sub's blue dial?
I know they are separated by huge price difference but do you see them as competitor as both are in white metal and blue dial? |

Hi. Thank you for your compliments. It's don't see them as competitor to each other due to the big gulf in price and also the material, the WG Sub is of course in WG while the SMP300 is SS. Purely in terms of looks, I prefer my SMP300. The dial is just more way more dynamic than anything on the Rolex Sub.

Re : Incoming - New 2018 Omega Seamaster + Pic & Discussion Thread".
Does it look a touch too big for my wrist? I have a 6.75 inch wrist. Contemplating on purchasing it in about a month. Thanks!

Odd question but is this at South Coast Plaza? As soon as I saw the pic and your location, it looks like the Omega Boutique there haha. I was just there a few days ago trying on the same watch! Get it man, they look more amazing without the plastic wrap that they have on them for display.

Anybody see this version? I'm not a 2-tone guy, let alone a 3-tone guy, but I have to say that to my eye this version is nicely executed. The blue-grey of the tantalum and the finely textured gold bezel are pretty cool.

yes it is a limited edition and over £9k in the UK - lovely in my view and I am not normally a man who favours the 2 tone look
