Blue dial thread!

My Rose/pink gold thread didn’t get much traction so I’m moving on to another style : )

Show us your blue dialed bad boys!

I’ll start off with a 27 year old YM 16628...

OK, if we are going outside of Rolex, here is my favorite blue dial. It's vintage at least, but warning, it's an obscure brand, so some of you may need to avert your eyes. ;-)

This watch is representative of what this thread has become. It is a mix of the old and the new. The BB58 is 6 months old and 93150 bracelet is 34 years. I like wearing the old school “L” bracelet rather than the rivet. To me it looks a lot like the Tudor made for the Royal Canadian Navy with round plots and flake hands.

Thanks, yours too!

Purely in the interest of pretty pics, here’s a “goal” blue and a “grail” blue (neither is mine), a blue 8+2 vignette and a pyramid lapis DD. (In that goal/grail middle ground, someone here must have a French blue Stella to share!)

OK, so another 1603, Sigma dial . Notice the paint fade or loss right at the edge of the pie pan dial. It's common on most blue dial DD's that there is paint loss and lume deterioration but only at the lume plots . Not a ring like this dial. Also notice there is paint fade around the date window I bought the watch with the idea I would have to replace the dial but now I have 2nd thoughts, I'm going to ride it out and see what happens, It's also the only watch I own with no cyclopes, which I kind of like. Feel free to weigh in with any experience or thoughts.
