Icon7 AP ROO strap length

Hi guys, I purchased an XS roo strap recently and noticed that the tail strap is the same length as the regular tail strap. It is the tang buckle strap side that is noticeably shorter. Is this normally the case?

The reason I ask is that I tried XS for tail and buckle but am caught in a middle hole that doesn't exist. One hole up and too tight, one hole down and slightly loose. I read online that people used one XS one regular (buckle/tail) to "even" it out.

Both parts of the XS strap are shorter than the standard. I posted a comparison picture on the last thread you started a while back.

Just FYI, here’s a regular and xs side by side:

Very interesting. My XS Ghost strap is just as the OP described with only one part being shorter (the part attached to the buckle). Seems like it’s not always consistent?

How strange.

The pics I posted were for the 44mm, perhaps there's a difference between 44 and 42. Not something that I would have expected.

OP, give AP a call.

This is for the new 43mm?

If yes, I think the buckle side is the same and hole (long side) differs.

Yes mine is the Ghost and its the same exact situation as this. Thought I lost my mind while comparing the strap length..

Very odd! I think only in the ROO Ghost/Dark Knight generation it might be like that? As the older offshores were different in strap length.

For my 42mm Diver and previous 44mm forged carbon ROO, both pieces of the XS strap sets were shorter than both of the standard strap set pieces.

I got the Diver XC strap last fall.

Here are some of my straps. Four for my 42mm 26480 and one for my Diver.

One of the dark blue straps is the original standard size, all the rest are XS.

It does appear that on the 42mm tapered XS straps, only one part of the strap is shorter than the standard.

I’d never noticed before but it is frustrating as it means the strap goes all the way round the watch and increases the visual bulk if the watch (which us folk needing XS straps really don’t need!).

The non-tapered Diver strap appears to be completely different.

Vince, a bit off topic, but I like the contrasting keeper loops, I shall have a play with that too.

Worth having a play, adds a bit if fun, which for me is what the Offshore is all about.

Great collection of straps! It is quite silly to do up the tapered XS straps like that.. the tail really sticks out and just looks huge overall. A bit annoying that there’s no “middle ground” now with these straps.

Anyone with this very specific issue manage to find a workaround? Lol

Why do they still want to keep the XS's so long!
