This to me is the one that got me started. Love it.

Mine doesn't get enough wrist time but I like them. The white 16570 is perhaps the only five-digit reference that I prefer to have no lugholes and an engraved rehaut.

My preference is always no lug holes and an engraved rehaut (which is partly tricky when it comes to Tudor) but I think my only observation about the white dial when I look at it is that there's no obvious sign of any precious metal, unlike the white gold on the black dial... Or have I got that completely wrong? I enjoy the presence of the white gold very much

Ah, I felt sure I'd read that, about the gold still being present but hidden, but I wasn't confident of it. I admit that I do prefer to see it... Although I realise that wouldn't work on the white dial.

Gone but not forgotten, a great watch. I now have a 216570, had this not been released in 2010, I'd have stayed with the 40mm EXP II. J

It looks ok on its predecessor, the 16550.

not sure why some are keen on being able to see the white gold...I give this watch so much respect since its the only Rolex that has stayed true to its utilitarian and tool functions as a watch. It has so much character I absolutely adore this piece. No bling all substance!

It is a great value in terms of complications; you get a date and a GMT function for significantly less than any other 39mm+ model. When I was in the market for my first Rolex, I strongly considered the 16570 due to the value, but no matter how hard I try, aesthetically I just don't like it - I think it's because of the brushed bezel. I particularly dislike the white dial with the black surrounds. I think it appeals more to those who want a toolish looking watch, but for me personally, I have Seikos and G-Shocks for tool watches; I want my expensive watches to have more of a jewelry aspect. All of that being said, if YOU like it, then I think it's the best choice out there. It's a fantastic value and will last a lifetime.

I really love the 16570's. I've been thinking pretty hard about a 216570 lately, but I'm also thinking of instead getting a white and black 16570. So sporty.

I'll chime in with my polar 16570. It's a very cool piece and I feel that it is even more like a tool watch than my sub.
