Wow, Pav. Great addition to what is already a terrific collection. How do you decide what watch to wear when you have such a stunning collection?

WOW! Now that is stunning! What a beautiful pickup! I dread to think how big of a dent that put in the old pocketbook, but wow. That is simply gorgeous. Happy new year!

Ummm, I'm going to be the lone voice of dissent in this thread. There's easily one big issue with your 6239, and maybe more. Until someone unearths Rolex marketing lit showing that exact dial colorway, you've got a dial there that no one's proven Rolex ever sold.

Curious to know what the 'problems' were that the experts came up with. If the folks on VRF say so then it's most likely so...but curious all the same.

Kyle, despite this piece being shown in various reference books these are not Rolex originated reference material.
I am learning more and more that these dials are not Rolex... though they still carry a premium price. Let's all let this thread die an honorable death. |

Just read your post 'over there', interesting mix of responses.
Hope it all works out for you whatever route you choose to pursue.

Pav, I see you found out it is a 'Texas' dialed PN. I did not want to say anything when I noticed some questionable areas of the dial.
Good luck with the watch. =) maverick |

I also just read that thread, sorry to hear this Pav. So can you shed some light on why they call a Mayer Dial, I will admit that I do not know much about vintage Daytona's.
