Sub 114060 " Stop Seconds" Feature / Possible Issue?

When I pull the crown to set the time....the seconds hand keeps going for anywhere from 15 seconds to a minute before it finally stops. Watch is brand new. Any other 114060 owners experience this issue?

Is this something that is just a tightly built movement that needs to break in so to speak?

Regards,
Scott

Caliber 3130 is equipped with a balance stop spring, it should stop the balance wheel and second hand instantly when the crown in pulled into hand setting position.

That kind of makes sense....with the crown pulled out.....after the second hand stops....if I apply just a little pressure to the crown inwards....the seconds hand will move....let up the pressure and it stops.

That sound like a balance stop spring issue?

So when the crown is fully in the settings position, the second hand is stopped, and stays stopped as you set the hour and minute hands ?

When I pull the crown all the way out...let it click in the settings position...takes about 15 seconds to a minute for the seconds hand to stop moving. Then I can set the watch. If I apply just a little pressure white in the settings position....no click...just a little pressure, the seconds hand will start and stop as I add and stop adding a tiny bit of pressure.

Sounds like your stop spring is slightly deformed, or out of position. It’s an easy fix for a watchmaker. If your ORJ has an in store watchmaker they should be able to fix you up quickly.
