Icon5 Vintage gmt pepsi dial

I am looking to buy a vintage Pepsi dial GMT. In 1977 a new GMT with blue/red bezel was sold to a"Jerry Garcia " from Jacobs Jewelers of Tampa, Florida.
That store is no longer in existence. I know that the Grateful Dead performed
nearby in May of that year. It comes with the original box and papers listing sale date in December 1977.. Is there any way to verify if the purchaser was the real deal?

Never heard of Jerry wearing a 1675 and I would assume if he did there would be a pic of him wearing it at some point. Good luck!!!! Cool story

I'm confused ... Are you trying to track down and buy THE Rolex 1675 with Pepsi insert that might originally have been sold to Jerry Garcia in Tampa in 1977? Or you just want to buy a vintage Rolex 1675 with Pepsi insert because Jerry might have owned one at some point?

Either way, interesting request, albeit slightly odd. Where did you get your information?

I agree with the above .... if a rock star wore a specific watch, we'd most likely all know about it. Although if the story's true, perhaps Jerry did buy the watch, but it was a gift for someone, like a roadie.

I assume OP has been offered this 1675 with the papers which show it was sold to a “Jerry Garcia” by Jacobs in 12.77.

Dead tour schedule shows nothing between 11.6.77 in Binghamton, NY and 12.27.77 back home at Winterland. Generally I think he scooted back home to SF when not touring. I guess it’s possible, but being as it’s Tampa ... certainly plenty of other Geraldo Garcias there, so the odds seem long. Maybe you could find something in Jerry’s biographies?

If you have a line on Jerry Garcia's (of the Grateful Dead) watch, that is amazing and get it! Please post pics.

There was of course only one "Jerry Garcia" ever.... Just as my name is unique.

Maybe it was sold to a Cherry Garcia.

If a GMT could be linked directly to "the" Jerry Garcia, it would be on Christie's for stupid money.
