I Can't Remember
Hello Friends,
I once saw a Panerai that looked like a vintage watch. All brown and rusted looking fellow. I think it's in the Radiomir family, but I can't find this watch anywhere. Does anyone know which one I referring to and/or have a picture. Thanks in advance. |

We'll need more information than this. There are both Luminor and Radiomir vintage pieces out there. Sorry....

Looked like the dial and hands were rusted. Brown dial. I saw the watch in an ad, so I really can't remember anything more. I do believe it was in the Radiomir family. Sorry I wish I could offer more.

Sandro,
you wont find this watch with you local AD, its a very rare and very expensive early Panerai. You can read more on the history of this watch on these websites: http://rolexblog.blogspot.com/2009/0...-of-rolex.html http://www.clubpanerai.com/index.asp...=355&codice=15 Enjoy! |

I figured, I couldn't even find the watch anywhere period. I searched and searched. How much do you think this watch would be if I can find it? Thanks. |

Its hard to put a price on these rare vintage watches but you have to think, $100.000+
That is when you find one. You can have the money in the bank and you're willing to spend it, but finding the watch is the real problem.... But you never know, you might be lucky! |

This is what I found:
"Radiomor Panerai [Reference 6154] Circa 1954 This is the last Panerai Rolex made (pictured above). It was made for the Egyptian Army. This watch has a current value of $120,00 and is the second rarest collectable Panerai. According to the John Goldberger, only 30 of this Reference 6154 were ever made. This watch has a nickname among Paneristi (Paneristi is the nickname for Panerai collector/fanatics) of the small Egiziano. Egiziano is Italian for Egyptian and it is named Small Egiziano because after Rolex stopped making watches for Panerai, Panerai made a 60mm prototype watch for the Egytian Army which is nicknamed the Big Egiziano." |

not impossible to find , but difficlut
the 6154 is the samllest number of the rolex panerai watches (protoypes excluded), there are curently thought to be 9 correct watches known of in the world, the last one to sell publicly was at christies in 2009 was about £100gbp, at the height of the watch wobble, if you can find one for less then you are doing well, if you seriosuly looking then feretti in italy is probably the best place to start..
probably slighlly less and more available is the 6152 instead of which there wera few hundred for more info there is a great book on the vinatge panerai series you can google as im not sure im allwoed to link to it. heres mine which is due back from Rolex soon !!! |
