Rolex Collection plus Speedy

It was interesting to see on another thread how many people had a Rolex collection plus an Omega Speedmaster.

Curious to know how many have the Speedy as the only non-Rolex piece in their collection.

Those are beautiful! How do speedy’s hold their value?

I do. The Speedy was my first good watch, and I quickly switched to Rolex.

At various times I had Rolexes and a Speedy in the stable.

Still have an Omega, but a vintage one that’s neither Speedy or Seamaster.

Have a DJ that keeps it company now.

I think no collection is complete withou a Speedmaster. They have a charm of their own.

I have two Speedies and both are Mark IIs. One is a '69 and the other a Co-axial. Wearing the co-ax at the moment. I've got a couple of others Omegas as well (Planet Ocean with orange insert and SMPBond). I like the difference of the Mark II from the design of the original moon watch. Every one has the standard and not so many the redesign.

I am pleased to own both the classic Speedy and the Ck2998 LE (which my wife also really likes). Great looking watches with some serious DNA.

Same here.

I love my Speedmaster Pro Hesalite Moonwatch as much as my Explorer 214270. In fact, I wish the Explorer had an acrylic crystal option.

I have a couple to complement a Hulk, 16710 Pepsi, BLNR, - Moonwatch and the LE 60th, very different. I really appreciate their heritage and lineage, not to mention the tactile process of manual winding them up as opposed to the Automatic Rolex wearing experience.

I feel like Neo being able to read your collection and see each watch only from the numbers.

Amazing collection!

I don't know if i got lucky somehow but i picked one up (used) 3-4 year ago. I got what was a pretty decent price at the time. It appears to have pretty much tripled in value since then.

I don't know about long term prospects but it's a great watch, i'm keeping it ;)

The Speedy is a necessary piece in my collection. I generally have a modern hesalite version that comes and goes, and I have an older tritium dialed one that always sticks around.

Don't have what you could really call a collection, but it has a Speedy in it! :)
