Incoming Daytona C

Through all the chaos and negative news of the past month. Got an un-expected call from my AD and was offered a black dial ceramic Daytona. Initially I was interested in the white dial, but I could not say no to the opportunity. The truth is the black is growing on me. Cannot pick up the watch until lock down is over, but here are 2 pics the AD sent me. Interested to hear what other black dial owners have to day about the watch. Will pick it up soon hopefully.

Great! Enjoy it. Hope you get it soon. I had a JLC AD drive a watch to my house in pre-corona days.

It's already happening, AD's closed and calling costumers offering Daytona's, imagine what will happen when it reopen but all clients have gone.

Wear it with health.

Congrats!

I have both. They are both great. To me the black dial is the super sporty variant and the white is a little more sporty/elegant.

The white dial is clean and sporty. The black dial is cool and classic...I personally prefer the black dial.

Congratulations! I went with the white dial & it's a beauty! Eventually, I'd like to also own the black.

Congrats! Lovely watch. While I would prefer the white dial, I would jump on the opportunity for a black dial as well.

Congrats! The white dial gets most of the love, but in person, I think the black dial looks better.

Congrats! I got mine the day before lockdown started. Chose the black over the white. Love it so much, I’m sure you will too!

Black is vividly striking in the flesh. It catches your eye from any angle. White appears more sporty but black is the sleeker more dressier looking.

It’s funny. In the beginning I was a bit lukewarm about the Daytona. I saw the white dial and had a chance to try on a demo unit (no movement) during the initial Rolex tour post Basel.

Was not a fan. The stark contrast of the white dial make it too jarring for me.

Then during a Redbar event, one of my buddies brought over his black dial acquisition and it really stuck in my mind. The black dial just felt like it worked with a bit more flexibility. A bit more under the cuff. A bit more svelt.

I’m a big fan to say the least. And I’m sort of coming around to the white dial now too.

Congratulations man. I had the choice between the two and I chose black. Mostly because I already owned the white when they first came out a couple years ago and it just did nothing for me. I hope you get it soon.
