Finally signed up after lurking for a while, reading many posts, etc.

Figured I should join eventually.

Finally got around to picking up a Rolex. Been wanting one for the longest time. Just always found something else to do with the mad money. When I come back from Thanksgiving, my "new to me" 16750 will be waiting.

I've always wanted a classic GMT since I was a kid watching Magnum PI. I like the mix of old and new on the 16750. I prefer the later gloss dial.

Now the question is, what are going to use to strap that baby onto your wrist. Or do you plan to use it as a lapel pin?

I must say IMHO you have the best Rolex GMT going!
I love the 16750--thin case, quick-set, and acryllic! Just fantastic!
Big congrats.

As for a bracelet,the 78360 with 580s would be the correct style. You can use a 93150 if you prefer a fliplock.

Thanks. I will pick up a bracelet eventually. Right now, plan is to drop it off at Rolex Beverly Hills for a going over. Then I'll track one down. Though it will make more then a few cringe, I like the GMT and Sub on nylon. The GMT is so slim and light anyway.

When I want a to haul around a watch, I put on my Seiko MarineMaster and it's bracelet. That's a chunk of steel on your wrist!

Having the paper and knowing everything is genuine is smart.
Be prepared for Rolex to require the fitting of a new bracelet if you send it in head only.

Thanks for the heads up on the bracelet. I'm very curious what they are going to say. Luckily, it's only a 15 minute drive to the RSC.

From what I can tell from the pics you'll be looking at a normal service. That will include new crown, tube, crystal, polish, etc..... around $450.
Not sure on the bracelet price

I want to say around $550 or so.
It will be a 78360 with 580s.
It'll be a new watch that's pressured tested and everything.
