Beautiful shot! I always enjoy looking at your pics, they have wonderful composition and of course great subjects

My set up isn't the best but it's easy and works well. It's a Cannon G15 with a Hoya macro lens. My examples aren't all watch pics but you get the idea.

When using an open f stop- need to be aware of chromatic distortion when taking shots of shinny things like crome and stainless steel. It can bring out the flaws in the lens.

I use a multiple lens, for macro like below, use 100mm macro and sometimes a reverse 50 mm attached.

An iPhone 5 works well. All you need is the proper lighting and a steady ledge.

WOW - incredible images . Learning as I go along and chromatic aberration is something that I'm just becomg aware of with my new prime lens

I just use an old Samsung Galaxy phone for 99.99% of my pics. Point (quite carefully) and shoot!

Remember…A camera is just, at it's core, a light-box, a tool…

It's like a paint brush to an artist…

You can give the same brush to 5 different painters and you will get 5 totally different results……

It's not the camera…It's the cameraman...

And this is clearly evident in the photo in post #1. This is a great photo that could have been taken with any camera...Michael has mastered the light.
