I wouldnt say....

I wouldnt say I was excited about the scuffs on my newly acquired, preowned 114270 Explorer ...... However I'm excited about how well Ive done in obtaining the best example for the funds that I had, this the journey the Explorer and I will now embark upon.

Hahaha I'm not. My 4 year old GMT2c doesn't have any scuff/scratches at all.

This thread gives me anxiety - not sure how one could be "excited". Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Actually I was the same way with my collectibles. Electronics, gadgets, cars, watches (even quartz ones) etc. Then I realized that I won’t be taking any of these with me and my whole perspective changed. I don’t care about materialistic possessions anymore.

And secondly when it comes to watches I believe that every watch tells a story. So these scuffs are part of that story. I didn’t wear my sub daily for good one year as I didn’t want it to be scratched. But after my realization I haven’t babied it at all and have enjoyed it in almost every environment I have been in. Love it..!!!

Thanks for your comment. Appreciate it.

I love mine! I wonder if rolex SS professional owners tend to like them beat up more than the DJ DD Celini owners. Somehow a beat up professional rolex looks better than a brand new one in my opinion. Just a watch full of stories and life

The short version is: it fell off the roof of a car (in it's box) and was run over several times before being recovered and partially restored.
