Many more people notice what watch you're wearing than you like to think....

Subs are boring (due to their popularity).

Also, the box is not fitting for a watch at the price range Rolex plays in.

Many years ago I used to find most Rolex sports models boring and generic, that includes the Sub, Sea-Dweller, YM, GMT, Explorer, you name it. Wisdom got into me since and I now see the light.

I hate everything about Tudor: the name, the logo, the snowflake hands, the pseudo vintage look of the latest pieces. I wouldn't be caught dead wearing one.

Agree with everything you mentioned there about Tudor ... thats why I got a Fastrider Black Shield. The polar opposite of everything listed :D

The Daytona is really a woman's watch...

At 6'5" and 240 I wear a Daytona. Now you have me doubting my masculinity. Damn it... should've never read this thread. Ha!

Great thing about this forum is the diversity of opinions, even when they're dead wrong. ;-)

This is fun! A great read, if for no other reason than to prove there is no single Rolex reference that everybody can agree they like.

Well, just think that at 6'5" and 240lbs, no one is brave enough to say - "Hey bud, are you wearing a women's watch?" I am not... Well maybe from the safety of the internet. (Wait I should check where you live first...)

Wear it well, my man. (I am joking, but I wish they would make the Daytona in 2 sizes.)

Just checked, you are from Texas, just so you know, I live in Washington, that's practically all the way to Alaska, a bunker, in the forest, in the mountains, no one can find me, so don't try - please. Seriously, people walk 10 feet off the trails up here and they get lost and die.

It's all in good fun. I myself wish it were slightly larger. I used to live in Washington. I worked for the National Park Service and traversed the woods all the time so I know my way around pretty well.

I agree. It is so feminine. Not manly enough for a man's wrist.

I agree on this as I bought a white Daytona C, but after some thought decided to give it to my wife, she is happy and I would not wear it as I prefer much more my other watches

In fact the pair of them can't fathom my thought process, but it is what it is, haha.
For me I think the Daytona is colour sensitive. If i had the cash I would go for a plain steel one with a white dial.
The bi colour ones aren't my bag

I can't stand the Daytona and the BLNR does not do it for me either.

I really like unpopular Rolexes, my favorite being the black GMT II C and the 42 mm EX II, I guess I don't have an unpopular Rolex opinion, but sure have an opinion on unpopular Rolexes.

My Explorer II is also one of my favorites, only surpassed by D-Blue.

I don't like the Daytona.
I don't like the ugly fat crown guards on supercase sports models.
I don't like the low quality bracelets on pre ceramic models.
I don't like Cellini at all.
I don't care for any of the line up other than Subs, GMTs, or SDs, those are the only Rolex's I have an interest in and it amazes me that people buy anything else.

Shallow huh?

Do not like the red lettering " Daytona " on the 116500LN, wish it would have been 116710LN green. Find that especially on the white dial it makes the face look cheap. (He says still wishing he could get one).
Do not like jubilee bracelets.
Do not like TT watches.

Have to kinda agree here. I have the black 500LN and love the red but on the white dial it looks pink and es no bueno.

Had the 116600 LN for 3 years. Tried to like it. Thought it was gonna grow on me. Never warmed up to it. Hate the proportions and the lugs (don't feel this way about the 116613 LB//LN because of the contrast of the dials and bezel). Anyways I flipped it for the Pam 389 and couldn't be happier. For whatever reason, just thought normal sub was a bit over-rated. I Guess the asthetics no matter how iconic never sang to me.

I think I may have to agree with you there. The white-faced model in particular *ducks*
