Playing around with the idea of a Panerai.

Looking at the 112,88 and have seen pics of the 104 and 164.Any other models that you can recommend,thats less than $5500 MSRP ? Pics would be very helpful.

I didn't take the photo. The guy who took it is in Melbourne. He knew what he was doing with this photo.

I believe this model it is a limited edition. Not sure what the number is. It would go into my collection if I had the funds!

233 looks great! I have a smaller wrist so I tend to look at the smaller models... 40 or 42mm

The 183 is my next purchase. Only had the 164 for a week and all ready looking for another.

Hard to find, but not a LE. It is a model #161. It is the 88 without the minute track and on the bracelet, a very cool watch indeed.

Have been doing my research .. NO Panerai watches from any of the ADs in my country.They struggle to get stock ....

At least Rolex is easy to find new or used,great discount on new too ...

Recently sold my 104. Not sure if I am going to miss the 104 or not. I was first bitten by the Panerai bug almost 4 years ago. Started off with a 40mm PAM 48 and then went through various 44mm models. Got another 48 mid to late last year and then sold it to take a break. Bought the 104 earlier this year. Not sure if I get tired of the brand. Maybe pushing it with my relatively thin 6 3/4" wrists. They are the "in" watches, but overpriced in my opinion. I am sure I will get another one soon.

Here in L.A. you can't really go out and buy a specific Panerai. You have to choose from what is available at the time, and the selection boils down to 4 or 5 at most. Larry.

Of course you can always "put out the word" through a dealer and over-pay...

I'm just lucky I guess, doesn't happen often. But my local AD which is still about 30 min away had probably 20 different models in the display case and more in the "safe". So far they seem to have everything I have wanted, picked up the 164 last week and will probably go down and get the 183 in the next couple of weeks.

Jeff - You're lucky to have such a great AD nearby. There's an actual Panerai store (company owned and run) in Beverly Hills, and they don't usually have that great of a selection. They may have 2 of some of the less popular ones, but not the hard to find models. Larry

they probably had every Ferrari model going in stock. And strangly enough there was a nice new 612 sitting in front of the store with no customers but me.

The Pam 88 (GMT) is indeed hard to find. However I managed to pick up a brand new one a few weeks ago, Sheer luck.

Picked up another brand new Pam last week. No luck involved there, just hard $$$$$

Pam 249 with the california dial. This is one sleek watch!

Saw for the first time ever in Stratford On Avon an AD that sells both Rolex and Panerai...........They were laid out next to each other.
It really made it clear how much bigger the average Panerai is compared to the average Rolex.
There was one white faced Panerai that really looked quite simple and classy.....didnt get the number of it as I was being hurried to see the birthplace of some guy called Shakespeare at the time.
