Had a fun trip to my AD
The other day Dylan and I stopped by my AD to browse and handle a few of his watches. Dylan loves it because they have a DVD and toy room with big bean bag chairs, I like it because it is watch porn heaven.
I handled a few watches that are not often handled. My AD just got the FP Journe line last year and even though he was allocated 15 for the year, he sold 17. He already got four new ones in for this year and they are beautiful!! He has a manual wind with a 'dead seconds hand' that ticks like a quartz. The finish on all of these watches was out of this world. I played with my grail watch, the VC overseas chrono and wow, what stunner. I also tried on a JLC dualamatic on a leather strap, that could be the next one I chase after. I also did my normal touching and feeling of the Rolex case. He had an okay selection of sport models, but he did have the new prince line, very cool exhibition backs. I also put on my PLT DD, one day baby, one day. This shop is way too cool, you walk in and they get you whatever you want, I had a Coke and Dylan an apple juice. My buddy is the president and part owner so all the salespeople know me and Dylan by now. It is alot of fun to talk watches with him, he is very knowledgable, but he also calls me at times with questions on movements and what is hot. He was rocking the 88 of mine the whole time I was in there, it was hilarious. He had a Blancpain flyback on and also has a few other really nice watches. He does have great taste though, his only Rolex is a SS/PLT YM. It was a great way to spend the afternoon.

Lucky you, Daren!!
It's great to have an AD who is not only a friend, but also so knowledgeable on the subject. Mansor's is the same with me. Great service and fantastic salespersons all round (pun intended!! LOL!! ) Yes, I think we should consider ourselves the lucky ones to have a good, friendly AD so close to home. JJ

Sounds like a great day Daren. Kind of like walking into a room with 20 different TVs playing porn all at once. Which way do I go?

Sounds like a fun day, Daren. I was in my AD's yesterday to drop the Breitling off for an appraisal and had to get out of there before my wallet met with a disaster.
