Query on Rolex 1018 Production Period and Serial No. Range

Hi All,

I purchased a Rolex 1018 and I would like to find out more about the production period of the 1018 and its serial no. range?
Most of the 1018 I see on the internet have a #1,xxx,xxx serial no. and I was wondering if it was possible that the 1018 was produced until much later, like the 1980s?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
TIA!

This page https://www.interwatches.com/rolex-history has them being produced until 1984 but better answers will doubtless be forthcoming as proper experts chime in
