Luminor BASE w/ sandwich dial?

Is there such a thing? I really like the look of the Luminor BASE 112, but it doesn't appear to come with a sandwich dial - at least none that I've seen. What model Panerai would come closest to looking like this?

The 112 comes in Sandwich. Its a toss up for me. i like both dials.
1 post below has some shots of my Base with painted dials.
But if the sandwich sings to you..jump on it!!

i also believe the 176/177 Ti comes sandwhich.
Also the 210 as well as a base Rad.

The 112 should have the sandwhich dial
THe 219 ( destro) has a cut out dial

Yeah I think the 112 started coming in sandwich dial two years ago.

Only base with a painted dial available BNIB with is the PAM00logo, like Carlo's and John's.

I believe, and correct me if I'm wrong, but the all the H serials and later 112, 111, 177 ans 219 come with a sandwich dial. Sandwich dials rock!

233 - WOW I got to handle one at the GTG last week, it's a magnificent piece... and the OEM strap it comes on is AMAZING! Quite a diffrence in watches tho from the 111 to 233!

233 is definately my favourite pam, atleast now that the 190 has a new home. I have to disagree with Amanda about the strap though, it looks nice but its so stiff it hardly bends. Back in the box with all the other OEM straps.

Another terrible picture

Mike, you did check the box, and didn't accidentally ship off your 233 by mistake

I really like the 233. What's the MSRP? $10Kish? I really would like to see an automatic with sandwhich dial. I wouldn't mind the 233 because it only needs to be wound once a week or so. I am sure they will throw the new in-house movement in other models, but not for a while.

Is he 233 thicker compared to other models? Looks like it in pictures.

Actually I almost did! I hope you don't mind a few water stains on the box from my tears as I was packing it last night.

There is one on ebay right now from a reputable seller but he wants almost 3k over MSRP.

Mike, what is the case thickness of the 233? Looks quite thicker than other models in pictures.

IMO it wears smaller than a 112 or any other standard luminor case. I don't know the actual thickness but with the domed crystal and the 44mm 1950 style case it seems substantially thinner to me.

I agree. I looked at Mike's 233 when we hooked up in Toronto and was surprised that it seems a tad smaller than a luminor case. Wears really nicely though... kinda like the best of both worlds of a Rad/Lume case.

Hey Mike - consider this a formal offer to take the watch off your hands for a while to take some really nice pictures of it......

Al, your pictures are incredible but I'm not sure I can let it go just yet but I am available for photography 101 school anytime you are.

Your Blancpain is still screaming at me so maybe we could make a trade for a week or so sometime.

Hey I thought we were going to do a straight up swap, my 01 for your 233? What gives?

Actually, I'm surprised you guys haven't started swapping up yet, considering how close you guys live to each other. Geeze, Al had to borrow John's now departed 210 from across the country, when he could have been trying your 190 to get the 45mm Rad feel.

Happily for me, Al can't do this now since the 190 is in transit to a great home.

THe next 24 or so hours are going to be realllly long.
Wearing the 98 today, as I have a feeling the 190 might get some substantial wrist time in the next while.
I'll give it an endurance test. See how many hours it runs on a full wind

lol the emotional turmoil of being a pam owner! Im sure John when you are 12 hours away from recieving your watch, it will feel even longer than 24

Agreed... the closer 'the' hour arrives, the slower time will go.
