My next Panerai
I've narrowed it down to a choice between the Radiomir 190 or the Luminor Submersible 24. I'm leaning towards the Sub, but the strap possibilities seem limited - doesn't seem right to put anything besides rubber or stainless on a dive watch.

IMO, the 190 is a nicer watch.
I do like the24 also, but the 190 is my choice. Talk is the 190 will be discontinued soon. Plus the 8 day movement & PR is cool.

V. interesting about the 190.
Mr. President - I already have the stainless sub w/black dial. The sea dweller is superb, but almost the same look as the sub. Any other ideas, I'm listening... |

And the gold hands on the 190 really set the dial nicely.
Not the best pic, but here's mine

Those are 2 beauties. I also like the look of the un-cluttered dial. They are different in subtle ways.
Since I've got a Luminor Marine, my wife would likely say - "That's just like the ones you've got!" Will have to start educating her... |

I like the smaller second hand dial, it is also gold.
The gator strap on the wire lugs dress it up a bit. NOw, I also like the look of the sub, but completely different look.

190 all the way I say... and if it gets discontinued, all the better! It's an icon watch amongst paneristis. It'll be worth good money always.
Out of the Subs my fav is the 24a or b or c - its less subby looking I suppose and more bling with the polished bezel!!!! |

I think there may be a 190 in my future... This could take a bit of time, as they cost more than I originally budgeted!

the 190 is sweet, just the 8 day movement makes it worth all the while. subs are good to have if you have more than 1 pam. either way, you cant go wrong.
good luck

I just got a brand new Pam 24 and I am extremely happy with it. It feels like butter on my wrist. Not too bulky and super sharp looking. The rubber strap feels excellent.

I would go the 190.
It's more of a versatile watch IMO, and when the light hits it those gold hands just look great. Others have already mentioned the movement in it, which I have heard called, among other things, 'buttery smooth'. Either way, you'll end up with a great watch.
