Too many problems? 6202

Thinking about picking up this 6202, but I know its messed up... they want 2000, listed as a oyster perpetual. Is it worth it??? Thanks

The band alone is worth 1000. So yes, I would grab it

Is the dial refinished? Either way I'd get it. Cool piece.

I've got an NOS bezel with no insert.

That watch would part for more than that. Finding all the bits to make it right would cost....a LOT of money. Inserts can bring 3k without the bezel, Dial...you'd pay that easy. The sum of the parts is often more than the value of the watch.

This was fairly enough priced, but not as cheap as it initially might seem. The case and movement are the least valuable pieces of this model, believe it or not. I have busted many 6202 in this condition into parts lots, and it would be challenging to net more than $3K out of this pile. If the case has any corrosion or missing numbers, you would be looking at a loss, instead.
