Restored vintage value
Question to our awesome collective audience: how much would vintage restoration devalue a watch?
I ran across one of my vintage grail - a 63 Seamaster 300 - with restored dial and bezel I know restoration might ruin the appeal for some collectors, but I like the look if the watch has been professionally restored and the restoration is fully disclosed I know this is ultimately a matter of opinion and the only real downside for the right price is resale marketability I'm not looking at buying this watch, but it's such a good example I decided to get forum feedback on this Thanks for your comments and concerns in advance The Rolex Cowboy |

Not much help on this model. I had a 66 SM 300 and it was a great watch. Wish I still had it.
I dig those hands...This appears to be in good shape based on this photo. |

In answer to your question, depending on how much has been changed, up to 50% of the value.
I think Joshua at European watch Co in Boston has an original on the site now |

I had a 2913-3 with original Dial but restored Bezel.
It is hard to say, cause i think it is a personal consideration. I think it may be reasonable more than the 50% of the value, the dial in this kind of watches are like sandwich and the difference is pretty visible. |
