Icon14 GRAND OPENING Gathering @ the NEW Rolex store, Century City Mall - December 5th, 2009

After having out G2G today at Geary's and Westime in Beverly Hills, I decided I/we should plan the next one a bit further out. I discussed the next G2G with the manager at Geary's and he invited us to have another gathering when the new Rolex store opens at Century City.

Note: the new Rolex store is set to open on November 26th, 2009 but with Thanksgiving the next day, I thought it would be better to have a bigger gathering the following weekend when everything has calmed down [a bit]. Hence, the G2G will be on Saturday, December 5th, 2009 1PM on Saturday, December 5th, 2009.

I'm going to get the details from Geary's and I'll post them here when I know times and specifics.

See you in December!

Hey Buddy!

thanks for putting in the effort to get yesterday's gtg all set up. It was great to meet some local Rolex fans and see the goodies at the AD. Arron and John, good to meet you and your wives, I hope you all ended up with the rolex of your dreams, lol. Our own economic stimulus plan.

12/5 sounds like a good day to see the new boutique in CC: it's already a busy day for me, but maybe I can make it after lunch. The LA Auto Show starts that weekend and I always attend.
Thanks again!
David

I will try and get down there the next time I'm down in LA. During my college days (I'm a UCLA grad), I lived in West Los Angeles for about 2 years, which is close to Century City.

Now, what time works best?

Buddy: sounds good, I think I can make it. Hopefully the time of day will allow some of our out of towners to get there. Is it true that I heard that Tourneau CC no longer has Rolex on display?

Right - no Rolex at Tourneau. No loss though - Tourneau gives crap customer service.

See you on the 5th!!

ok, I snuck a peek...

I was going by on Olympic and stopped in. Ran into Jason Graber who used to work at the JLC boutique in BH, he's jumped ship over to Rolex. We had a great chat and I told him about next Saturday, so now he's prepped.

He's a very nice and helpful person, if you need anything , let him know.
David

ps: I got a good look at the WG Sub with blue, awfully nice.

I'm going to try to make it.

Has everyone else noticed the new Geary's Rolex billboards appearing around town?

Meeting was a bust as far as TRF, But...

We showed up at 1 pm. The new store is quite beautiful to say the least. The sales people were very friendly. I looked at a couple of pieces, and met one TRF member (sorry, forgot your name!)..
I would recommend a visit to this store for anyone in the area.. it's really beautiful. A very fine selection...Best to all!

That was me, Stan. Nice to have met you.

It turns out I know one of the sales people working there. So does another member of TRF. The sales person's name is Alex Tima. He used to work at Le Bijou in Pasadena. I doubt you will get a discount at any Geary's, but maybe you can talk to Alex about a non-discounted sale.

Thanks, yes it was good meeting you too. While the store looks great I doubt it would suit me as a place to purchase..They have HIGH rent! Anyway it was a nice visit, and great display..I really liked that number you were playing with..to the point where I might want one too!
