Discount on 01 Navitimer

Looking at buying a 01 Navitimer and this is my first Breitling. What is a reasonable and expected discount off retail price? 20%? 25%

Just want to have a realistic percentage when I go into an AD

Thank you in advance for your input

I'd aim for at least 30%.

Plenty in the grey market.

I would say 20-30 is about right.

thanks for the info guys, appreciate. I asked my local AD for 25% off and he reacted like I asked for the security code to get into the Pentagon

This is good info, I will check with other AD

+1. You can get around 30-32 off, but if you don't already have a relationship with an AD then you might be looking closer to 20-25. Like anything else, it is about relationships and loyalty/volume.

Good luck!

you can get 30% on a grey market website right now, without the attitude

The problem with a Breitling, unless I am mistaken, grey market sites don't afford the Breitling warranty. You get their own.
I prefer to pay 5% more from an AD or Boutique and get the Breitling warranty, specially on an in house B01 that has a 5 yr. warranty.
Glad I did that with my recent Chronomat 44, that just two months later, ended up getting serviced.

I went around to 4 different AD's and the most I could get was 20% off my Navitimer 01.

That's what I got, with no tax, which adds a decent bonus.

I've just checked a local jeweller's (non-AD) website and it says the following:

This brand new Breitling Navitimer 01 Automatic is brand new and comes complete with its box and papers as well as the Breitling 3 year warranty.

Who is the online vendor?

Obviously this retailer has no idea what the warranty coverage is for Breitling watches, in house movement come with a five year warranty and non in house movement come with a two year warranty. Grey market dealers come with no warranty card and thus you are on the hook for approximately a $700 service cost(Chronograph models) if your watch requires servicing. Grey market dealer warranties are worthless for in house movements because they have no access to parts.

Any discount, on any watch brand, is going to depend on a multitude of factors. Are you a first time buyer, have you purchased other brands of watches from the dealer, is the model you are interested in a popular model, how do you plan on paying, etc, etc, etc.

For someone to issue a blanket statement of X% is ludicrous, there are too many factors which come into play. My advice for you as a first time buyer would be to ask around, see who you feel comfortable with go with someone who will be there for you should you encounter any issues.

This is in the UK.

Seems reputable from what I can see. Multiple locations.

Browns may be a reputable jeweler, however you would have to look on the Breitling website to see if he is an authorized dealer, otherwise it is gray market with no warranty. Him stating that it comes with a three year warranty is odd, to say the least!

I seriously question if they are an authorized dealer or if they are, their website is mistaken.
That watch (01) carries a manufacturers warranty of five years, not three.
https://www.breitling.com/en/service...onal-warranty/

P.s., I have never seen an authorized dealer advertise a discounted price. Only Grey market dealers tend to do that.
