Watch magnetized at airport??

Not necessarily. I had a watch which went from a consistent +4-5 spd to +20 spd overnight.
I suspected it got magnetized so I check it with a compass, which confirmed it.
I ran it through a demagnetizer and it went back to it's usual +4-5 spd.

You can demagnetize your watch at a store that uses one to deactivate theft prevention on packages at check out.
