25th Anniversary of the ROO

Place your bets, what do we think AP will do, if anything, for the 25th anniversary of the ROO? Due to my poor imagination I can't see them doing anything other than a limited edition colourway with different materials etc... Would love to hear your thoughts!

would like a modernized version of the original ROO beast in SS as well as Ti on bracelet. An updated rubberclad but with ceramic bezel and crown/pushers would be nice too.

I think an edition like the all ceramic perpetual calendar in the ROO would look pretty cool

Yeah, a 25854 in all CE. That'd be awesome!

As long as they don't slap a huge "25th Anniversary" logo on it, I think I'll be happy with what they put out... hopefully.

Maybe a two-tone diver or RG diver would be interesting...

Love that bottom Ti one! Been looking at those for awhile. Goveberg had a nice used one.

Pretty happy with the one I have, considering the 44TI if I can get a good price in a few months, but will be interesting to see if they do something

A platinum jumbo would be cool. Maybe with a platinum rotor, too?

Has that been done before?

The RO's 25th anniversary was long ago as they are now 45 years old so 50th will be in 2022.

The ROO is having it's 25th Anniversary so it wouldn't be a special Jumbo but a special ROO if they did one - and hope they do!

I hope so too, feel the 42s have been a bit neglected since the 44s.

i agree. I just hope they keep the bezels the same material as the case. I like the ceramic bezels on the 44's but like the non ceramic bezels on the 42s for variety as adding ceramic would make the 42 and 44 not different enough to have both. IMO at least.

Really hoping for some new ceramic case options though.

Agreed, I really like the SS bezel on my Panda.

I hope that they introduce the new in house chrono movement in the anniversary model. I prefer the numerical dials of the 42 so a ceramic bezel would be nice. Attached a picture I modified to try and show what a black ceramic bezel would look like on the 42 and I like it

Agree...It would be a perfect time to introduce their in-house chrono, although I hope its in ROC too

That does look really good, but I probably secretly do hope they keep the ceramic bezels on the 44s only. Maybe use another material.

You're right, Ken. Strange, because I have been looking at some comparisons between the old 15202 and the 40th anniversary model so I am not sure why I thought the 25th anniversary was for the RO. Big brain fart.

I am sure they will do something very cool. I can't wait to see.

I think the new in-house movement is meant to be an integrated chrono for the ROC? If so, it wouldn't work in the ROO due to the different sub-dial layout.

I don't think 42s with ceramic bezel will caninbalize sale of 44s, but will surely boost 42 sale...

I haven't heard that it is going to be in the ROC (fingers crossed) but the ROO also have a dubois dupraz module so in theory it could find it's way into either. It will be interesting to see what route they take but the ROC just had its 20th anniversary and they didn't release the new movement as part of that launch

Thinking it a bit over. They should bring back a new variant of the ROO "The Beast". Similar to what they did with the Jumbo. Do little tweaks here and there with a sapphire display back. Would be awesome!
